As long as people aren’t demanding requirements they do not meet themselves, what’s the problem? If someone is fully geared from Naxx25, isn’t it reasonable to ask for people with similar gear?
To what I can see, the problem is that the more casual playerbase barely exists. I was playing at 2 hours a day and I was quickly way behind, and by the time I reached 80, everyone already seemed to be fully raid geared.

Isn’t preraid BiS borderline equal to raid BiS?
i200, i200. Slightly different stats, and set bonuses, which may be stronger once you have the full set.
Historically, if I’m not 13 item levels below the content, I just don’t go there, unless it’s for fun.
Although I’m level 71 and totally didn’t plan on raiding anyway. Maybe with a healer. Otherwise, I have anti-meta frost mage and BM hunter 
ps.: Not that I have to explain myself, but I level a pool of characters together.

Uninstall the GS addon, problem solved. I’ll not be sending any gear score to anyone.

I don’t quite see the humor in it though.
I have done plenty of socializing in 2008 when I was a kid, now I’m just replaying the same game (yea right), no more need for socializing unless it’s with my friends & guild. Socializing in pugs nowadays can get you banned anyway. No thanks.
Gearscore is an indicator of something forced upon us by elitists. Nothing more, nothing less.
It was made a necessity.
An achievement isn’t necessarily an indicator of how good you are or how experienced you are, either. For some, both are indicators off how far they’ve been carried.

Guy with 3.2k gs which likely means he has never seen naxx and is going to drop mutated injection in the raid…
or
Guy with 3.7k who has therefore probably cleared naxx a few times
its not rocket science.
i’m not advocating for GS i’m well aware of how it functions, why people use it and why it is flawed.
ive been hosting weekly naxx 25 pugs from the beginning and bee making smooth clears with dungeon geared people.
I’ve seen people with 3900gs drop mutated injection in the middle of the melee group.
You’re right, it’s not rocket science, but still, 3900gs means nothing if you don’t know the encounters.

raid bis is 213/226 ilvl items which is probably 4.3k+

Me personaly put up a DND when i am looking for ppl saying that if you whisper me your GS i am automaticly banning you from joining.
GS is a plague and it is garbage.

Oh my, raid leader wanting to get boost by asking for only geared chars?
Is it that hard to raise eyebrows and ignore such group? This thing was happening in the past, happens now and will keep happening in the future, no matter expac, no matter patch.

Elite players don’t use gearscore, if you don’t give in to the addon then it won’t catch on. That said people are still going to inspect you in Dalaran and if your gear doesn’t look good enough for a sub 2 hour Naxx you’re probably not getting invited.
Problem as old as time, the solutions are join a guild or create your own pug groups.
That varies by class. Holy Priest Pre-Bis is not even 3500 because you use a scuffed normal trinket as your p1 bis.
using a lvl 78 trinket is not gonna reduce your gearscore by 200, ret pala uses lvl 78 blue wrists and prebis is 3700

So you should’ve gotten that extra 200 from raids already.
