PRE-Raid BIS is 3500~GS, pugs require 3700GS... How?

You know we’re in the 2nd reset right now right?

I know I ran 10 man Naxx with 0 loot I wanted in week 1 and 25 man with 2 pieces all in all I was remotely interested in.

I am just explaining how these raid leaders think.

I am not saying i think like them or agree with them

This is what i have gotten so far.

Remember 13 items in that gear score is from either Emblem, Reputation vendor or 5 man Heroic drop.

I only have 4 actual raid drops.

“Only” 4 in 2 resets is pretty good mind you.

I have 3 total and feel utterly blessed.

Only indeed, as the thread poster says, the longer you wait to get drops the harder it will be to get raid spots and gear.

Would’ve been nice to have gotten all insta.

I am still missing the Naxx25 for this week, Hopefully i’ll get something there as well.

But i should be pretty close to true BiS already, these Emblem vendors give good stuff.

I don’t quite think you realize just how lucky you are to even get that many items you want to drop in the first place :stuck_out_tongue:

Sad story.

I don’t think i realise that either, considering i lose on more items than i win.

I do my dailies in frost…with the ebon blade 2x1h blades I am 3631 or something around there and in UH with my titansteel 2H I am 3750…that’s over 100 and both items are 200 ilvl, so the GS is a bit stupid in how it calculates it. I don’t doubt someone could lose 200GS from switching out something that is blue.

Ah yes, if you only want drops you will get them.

No man, they get more gear to give to his/her low GS friends

Clearly you didn’t understand my post.

So what if the 3200GS player has been clearing every raid since week one, got full SWP BIS, and is simply lacking some wrath heroic gear that is equal to SWP gear ?

Your logic doesn’t make sense with the current player base, It’s not 2009.

They just want to play with players as invested as they are.

Join a chill raid or make your own. You may end up doing like them because you don’t want to “waste” your time. Gear is the fastest way to know if someone is viable

Adding salt to the injury, I got refused with reasoning, “your gearscore is too low”, then I put my PvP items which increased my gearscore from 3100 to 3700, and write to organizator “sorry, I had my wannabe transmog T6 pieces, now I have the right gear” and got invited. Of course I pressed “PvE” in my Outfitter addon just 5 second before each boss-pull and swapped back to “PvP” after the boss died to not get kicked.

This just show how stupid this is. I have to fake my gearscore to get invited and actually swap my normall gear on bosses because it performs a lot better than PvP. The very same normal gear I got refused initially.

Gearscore is a dumb metric because it makes people want to equip gear that is worse for them if it bumps the gear score up. Secondary stats are important in wotlk and I would prefer to have players less GS with the right stats.

But equally people get fed up having to inspect everyone who asks to join just to see 50 characters in questing green wanting to do a raid. So they set GS barriers to save time, and hey while ur at it, may as well set that barrier really high and reduce the chance of other issues in raid.

It’s dumb but the player base breeds this kind of stuff. Even more so when you remove the social status people use to care about in wow before mega servers and layering. When your faction is only 1000 people, you find that your name will go around pretty quickly if you keep doing dumb stuff, same if you are good at your job. This style of gameplay just doesn’t suit servers with this much anonymity.

Classic players will tell you “Make friends, find a guild”

Any guild demanding gear score is a trash guild and should be avoided. This is not 2009 gear score is a trash add on that trash players use to judge other people. People were fine all through tbc without it. Why use it now. Screw that addon. I will quit the game before I ever install it in my system

The idea that this is somehow an unreasonable thing to do is why MMOs have fallen from grace.

I keep seeing dumb arguments about how “Solo players saved MMOs”, when actually games changes to better support Solo experience and as it has done that the genre has taken a slow dive off a cliff. Solo players are just keeping the life support on.

The games industry need to start taking a hard stance on splitting up the definition between MMOs and “Shared World Experiences”.

The games industry had already defined the definition of MMO and RPG.
The problem is this cancer community who is forcing everything to the other players, forcing to play like them, think like them etc.

“Oh no RDF please it’s not the definition of MMO”

This is ridiculous, RDF encourage players to play with each other.

“Oh no RDF please cross-serv is not the definition of MMO”

This is ridiculous, because this is exactly the definition of it.

This cancer selfish community like Cupid (funny RP name by the way) think like that.
