Preach is stoppig WoW coverage

Content creators do not speak for WOW and lets face it, Preach had to stop remember when he stopped casting for Method and working with them after their harassment scandal? If he did not stop covering WOW he would seem like a hypocrite, after the lawsuit against Activision Blizzard came out.

While I do enjoy some of his rants and a few other content creators, they are not why I play WOW. I go to them for info, for tips, and tricks, and news basically. And if you are a content creator who lives off WOW, before this bad news dropped, you probably saw your likes, views, and hits going down because there was nothing ongoing in WOW to keep people watching.

So some were looking for other ways to get hits, likes and views, which equal more money, hence Asmongold streaming FFVIX which is giving him record views, as well as Annie Fuschia also streaming FFXIV which has tripled her views. Its a numbers and money game when it comes to streaming.

Can’t really say I watched most if any of the US/UK streamers anymore, the few that I tune into are explicitly are pvpers so it’ll change very little for me.

Hard to watch youtubers/stroomers when trying to play the game myself personally speaking.

From the perspective of a subscriber to the game who plays with friends first and foremost, sure the situation sucks but I ain’t letting it impact time with people I enjoy playing with / care about. Some will come back, without question. Those who truly think they’re done, I bid them good luck to see what other audience they can draw in with the future to come.

He’s from UK, not US.

Preach? He is from and lives in Manchester, North West England.

The geezer has a thick as hell northern accent.

The game is good. Enjoying it to the fullest.

Haha i am from the same area so I understand him clearly

I didnt know this, but how does he pay for those new lovely locks on his head?

In all sersiousness tho, as I said right at the start… they should wait for the court case before jumping.

Fwiw (and not because I’ve had to research this, honest…), you can get loans for the ole thatch job on top, and it’s relatively affordable these days given the advancement in tech.

Good. Let it burn. You ignored Gamers, Blizzard.
You laughed at us.
You disregarded any sort of feedback.
“We thought we did, but we didn’t” according to your own arrogant incompetent leaders of the project.
You did nothing but a mockery of your entire base since the second week of BFA, showing them middle finger after middle finger.
“The forums are always complaining, it’s normal”, you coped.
Now, the ship is sinking, the floodgates are crumbling, the house is burning and you are out of Copium.
Let it burn for good. We’ll see if you’ll rebirth from your ashes!!!

It will never happened. The company is full of suits that all they want is to talk about margins, financial quarter gains and bs like that. It will never become a good company who makes good games.

When you have garbage like Frances Townsend into your company, who was part of Bush administration and who DEFENDED torture and waterboarding, there is ZERO hope/faith that this pathetic company will ever make a good product and make its customers happy. When blizzard has people like her into the company, u all surprised when you find out that they treat their employees like literal serfs, and sexually harass women into suicide???

These people are literal psychopaths that have 0 respect for other human beings or human rights, have 0 decency and all they care is MONEY, and you still have hope that they might treat their customers with respect and maybe maybe make a decent product??

I know. Check my next response in this thread. His complaints are also shared by the others who are quitting, he just stopped before he learned of this.

Preach said it was the straw. That is, there’s so much other stuff, much of which MadSeason also said, that made him want to quit anyway.

sounds like they’re riding the hype train to gain some attention and smoothen their transition to whatever hot garbage is currently trending.
then again I’m not a sociopath so I can’t relate to streamers or youtubers

you really dont have any idea how bad it is. all the big streamers and youtubers on wow is leaveing! it would be a waste of time to explain it to you… but long story short it really hurts wow even if you like it or not

You’re blaming content creators for pointing out game-breaking, glaring issues that super-negatively affect every one of their viewers who actually get where they’re coming from, and saying they make “the smallest problems into such huge deals”. You’re tone-deaf.
The people you spoke to outside of online circles Do not. Play. The game. To the point where things turn into actual problems. If you didn’t care about titan-forging, that was YOUR problem. Understand that you’re the kind of player I wouldn’t play with, okay? Your lack of caring is just you putting the blinders on because you personally didn’t want to engage with the game content that others did, and somehow that means that all the issues they’re having aren’t real or important somehow!?
I remember Maw of Souls farming. It was dumb as hell, but I wanted to keep up and be good dammit, and get to the good bits with my friends IN A TIMELY MANNER because in not too long, new content would make everything irrelevant and it has been a HUGE design flaw since the start, because it made me run it WAAAY into the ground past any point where I needed the gear or had fun with it. The only gear I needed was from the mythic raid in the end, which is how it should be when it comes to gear progression. Progress should be finite, okay? You should not HAVE to do all this stupid crap again and again and again just to have ACCESS to the difficult, challenging content in the game. BEATING the difficult content should be the thing we spend time on.
I can’t believe you used the word “elite” about other players who just want to have fun, and complain when there’s too much boring repeated bull**** in the way for it to BE fun for us. There’s nothing inherently GOOD about being a casual man. It’s the definition of “I’m gonna skip content and just do the bits I like and put in 0 effort”. The problems don’t go away just because they don’t affect you, which they only don’t do because you don’t engage in the content. That’s so entitled I can’t believe people think this way, but apparently you do.
Why the heck should the only markings for being a top raider be “you did all the useless, BORING stuff NOBODY wants to do” when you also THEN have to be really good at the game? It’s somehow okay that we’re forced through a useless treadmill (together with all you casuals btw, it’s not like any of us enjoy this) because we’re “the elite”? None of us want to do that stuff! We want to do the stuff that’s BEHIND that annoying gate of random borrowed power that we have to regrind for every bloody patch!

The story? What story? This story is complete bs, and it’s SO SHORT, and more, several BOOKS worth of story is not even in the game, but locked away in real life books! Seriously, you have to read the books to follow the plot properly! There’s barely anything to discuss about just the in-game story, just huge blanks where there could be anything, and it’s so clearly being written out as it comes, even THEY don’t know how it ends! The start of Shadowlands was literally just "Oh btw, this thingie we used for content before? Yeah Sylvanas just breaks it open and DA-DAH, an entire new world you’ve NEVER heard of just poops out of it, OUT OF NOWHERE, and somehow characters you’ve known for years somehow just know about it and, btw, 99% of the entire world of Azeroth gives 0 fluffs about the GIANT HOLE IN THE SKY!?
Real genius.

Once all the content creators are gone, the community will die down fast, just saying. There’s no permanence in world encounters in the game anymore, because of cross-realm and phasing, so having a server community of people you’d see all the time just in the world, is impossible now. Nobody has to care about you, you’re just a faceless shape running past now, and you’ll never see the same person twice. You have to reach out way harder to people, or bring in your friends, because making friends in the game now is waaay harder, and it won’t get easier. The casual content isn’t enough either. Do you HONESTLY, TRULY think that I haven’t done every single bit of content you do, on top of enjoying the end game? After many months? I did nearly every quest in Legion and BfA. Everything. EVERYTHING. I did 3/4 covenants now in Shadowlands, and ran through the story so fast I was shocked. My reaction on release was “That was it? Where’s the rest? Where’s the content?! I’m ALREADY at the repeated grind? And it’s THIS MUCH of a grind?! Holy…”

I’m SO sad to see all the content creators leave. I’m SO sad to see so many of US leave. But enough is enough.

Even I have just installed FF14 and i have only been playing this game, nothing else since 2009 because something tells me that we are all gonna have to try another game soon because i have a feeling the next content we are gonna get is lightyears away

While I’m also disgusted with the whole situation I don’t understand why do you stop covering your favourite game. It was also done by others who didn’t harass and why they should also be cancelled?

On the other hand I can also understand why playing WoW may bring the memory of disgust.
