This is actually a fair prediction. Because it is already what happened in retail.
You see, in retail they made it impossible to queue as a raid for BGs. But quickly after that, an addon came that made it possible to sync the queue timing so the leader queues and the others have their addons queue for them at the same time.
This made it possible to get the majority, if not all, of that premade into the BG. This became “the norm” in retail, kind of like the Spy addon is today.
So the solo players kept getting queued into full premades, which were supposed to have been disabled by Blizzard, yet the addon still made it possible.
So what happened was, Blizzard disabled the addon’s functionality in the API.
But the story doesn’t stop here!
What it led to, with the battlegroups having been removed and the matchmaking basically became a “free for all” with everyone queuing into other regions, and eventually the Spanish/Portuguese servers becoming the only servers meant for another language that could end up in the same team as the EU-English matchmaking pool, the rest were all, and still are, limited to only being opponents unless cross-realm invites into groups swaps over individual players from one region into another regional matchmaking pool.
Sorry for that confusing part, but I hope you’re still reading this.
So what happened was, the SMALLER regions (i.e. the regions that didn’t have as many in the pool to end up in the same team), basically started doing what this aforementioned Addon did, except they did it manually via voice coms and such.
Due to their smaller size in the matchmaking pool, this became much easier compared to the larger one, which is the EU-English pool.
These days, the amount of people, EVEN BEFORE CLASSIC, that queues for BGs in retail has ended up with EU-English actually fading in comparison to the other regions. Why? Well, the answer is simple.
The solo players got overrun by the premades that were left alone to roam free.
It wasn’t possible to report this, because of the automated report system in place since… what was it… since WoD?
Anyway, so it bred apathy and of course the ones saying “it can’t be” even though it is, because not everyone is aware of all of this. So the amount of people required to report these premades when they occurred (there’s a difference between seeing people from the same region only, compared to the ones from the same region acting in a HIGHLY coordinated manner with an RBG-esque setup as well as those times when you’d end up facing the same premade over and over again), never actually reported them. So they flew under the radar, because there is no human oversight for the in-game reports anymore. They are now limited to only reviewing complaints when somebody believes they’ve been punished “unjustly”. Rest is handled by simply having many people report in a short window of time, which automatically indicates “rulebreaking behavior” as perceived by the surroundings, instead of Blizzard needing to use employees to go through each and every case.
Anyway, so there’s a history of this happening already. I still don’t know if there’ll even BE battlegroup matchmaking in classic, or if they’ll use the retail model of where they don’t even keep regions to themselves anymore. (The servers set to a language could only queue into others of the same language until season 14 in MoP.)
But be aware. The automatic reporting is likely to get abused by the absolute tryhards, just as it has been abused for YEARS in rated BGs, as well as the premades reigning supreme.
I’m just glad I’ll be able to fight them back with a proper premade from now on.
It was hell getting the BG achievements that I’ve acquired, due to all of this garbage.

Here’s a link to armory if anyone is curious. Less than 10k away from bloodthirsty, and it has stayed that way for 2 years now.
