I did 5 BG’s so far Today. ALL of them had premades. When playing Horde, alliance had Larkus premade (which we beat twice) and when playing on alliance, the Horde has premades. It does not matter where or when you play. It is like EVERY Game has one and they miraculously never play against each other.
Larkus nowadays don’t go full group. But ye the premade problem is big.
By which criteria do you determine whether your opponents have a premade?
wp.
They do, what makes you think that?
DELETE queue as group option.
They rarely used to, but unfortunately now the player base seems to have fallen by so much, it is very much an occurrence.
Trouble is at the moment is who ever gets hanger or defs at Wintergrasp tends to win, and mass leave of players at start of these. Even start of AV is a typical bore. Premades just make the experience worse, especially those new to pvp.
Because they don’t try to take it back, not because it’s impossible, because it doesn’t take much.
Most teams only leave minimal defense at hangar after taking it in the first fight. Attack with 30 players at the same time and you can easily take it back.
Also. I can’t confirm WG favors defenders.
Extremely rare to see Hangar taken back, but not impossible chances go up if small premade, WG at this stage in the season overwhelmingly favours defenders unless an extremely weak team is defending, maybe because so many leave after losing sunken.
If u go against premade and they go 30-0 first fight, u can say thats impossible to take back. And its allways the case. There is close to never a fair fight with equal loss.
Ive come to the conclusion Epic bg is just broken, it plays SO bad. Its “bigger” longer games but u see instantly whos gonna win 90% of the time. Its just SO bad, but i want them to be good.
Premades just kills it completely
Once one team kills a few players from the other team, it is much more likely that they will kill the rest of the team as well because the losing side has to fight with fewer players. You see the same effect in 3v3 arena. The team that eliminates a player of the other team first is the winner in 99% of cases. In shuffle, the winner is declared right after the first deathblow.
Even if the first fight is lost badly and the other team is stronger in it, they will likely move on doing other things on the map. Only few defenders will stay. If you attack with 30 players, you can overwhelm the few defenders with sheer quantity if not with quality. This is not rare at all btw. The truth is just that most teams that lose the first fight scatter and never try a coordinated push with the whole team.
Sure anything is possible. But when u know its a premade ur going against and getting rolled cos of it. People are NOT having it, so its just over. This is the whole point and something needs to be done. Deleting the “queue as group” would solve alot. And its fair for everyone
This brings me back to the my original question that was not yet answered. How do you identify a premade and how do you know how many players are in it?
The entire enemy team is fully geared, you get wiped in the first fight and end up camped at the graveyard…
There are plenty of ppl known for making them? Just check whos on enemy team.
The only time i won after losing hangar was because a bunch of people kept leaving and slowly got replaced by better players, and then we all defended in the keep and won through HK’s.
But this is solely Blizzard’s fault, how much time does it take to change a few numbers so the vehicles don’t get 2 shot? If it was a dungeon bug it would be hotfixed next reset.
Epic bgs wouldn’t be so bad , if they actually bothered to make side objective matter .
But they have turned every epic bg into a 40vs40 zerg .
You get 4 healers less than your opponent > GG
You get more undergeared player > GG
You used to be able to win wintegrasp in WOTLK , by sneaking demos and attacking different parts of the keep . Usually you ended up with like 50% of the keep walls destroyed . Players actually had to spread and defend all side and also attack south and workshops .
Now they run in a huge 40 man blob , vs all demos and another 40 man blob . It takes 12 demos 3 minutes of solid bashing a single wall to breach them , when the demos die in 3 shots .
Taking hangar was not guaranteed win . Docks and WS actually had some meaning in isle of conquest .
And what happened to the side objectives of Ashran ? Gone .
Alterac has so many side objectives , all reduced to 0 , in favor of the 40vs 40 zerg . At least you have to defend the towers and gravyards there , so its the best out of all the 40 man bgs .
Everything is 40vs40 zerg , it is is boring .
Also lately I lag so bad in them I have no idea what’s going on . Every time someone blasts heroism my fps drops to 1 . Never had this problem before the last patch .
Larkus is not that good, fortunately. Lost many bgs. But when he have thousand healers behind him, it could be hard no matter how bad he is. Anyway…premades, even if you play against or among em, is boring if the other team is random. Premades against premades is ok thou. But Blizzard will not do a thing about it, i will assume.
Why? I always top damage/heal
Just need enough people complaining and being very vocal about it in order to get change. Blizzard has listened previously with things like WoW Classic, when they said they would never, ever consider making it an option.
As said previously, a simple change to make it so you can end up on either faction in a BG would make a massive difference to breaking queue syncers.
Still need to remove group queue
Its literally just as simple as opening up the scoreboard at the start of a BG and sorting by honour level. If the enemy team has 10+ people in the top 15 or so players when sorted by honour level, its probably a premade. The only exception to this is Larkus because he made a new account for some reason.
When you see this, it generally means you’re facing bare minimum 5 people in the premade, but its often 10 or more especially if its a community. There are “people” for lack of a better term who still think seeing Russians means premade and seeing a solo leader convince people to idle at a base means premade, but those “people” are [redacted] and aren’t worth replying to.
If the only premade ‘problem’ (and I don’t think it is a problem) is people like yourself or that Drex guy who solo or duo queue and spam commands in raid warning, then epic BGs would be amazing and immediately fixed. Unfortunately its not the case and again you can just enter a BG, sort by honour level and know within seconds you’re facing people in a discord channel or in game community or stream, queueing as 10-15-20-25.
There are other tells that its a premade too, the honour level thing is just a lot of smoke that probably signals a fire. If you then click the players you suspect to be premading and most of them have 20+ toy buffs on themselves? Yeah its a premade. Why? Because premading in epic BGs involves standing around bored in queue and what do WoW players do when bored? They open up their toyboy and click every single toy they can.
