Every season gets a pvp elite set, wich is there for a limited time, and there is no way of getting the past elite gear sets ever again.
Why not make it so, that when you get the reward for the mount, you get a badge afterwards wich you can trade in for a specifiek piece of an elite set, of maybe previous expansions.
Nah, what I think they should do is stop treating PVPers as something special, and give M+ers and Mythic last boss killers raiders their own time locked recolour.
Ofcourse Normal, Heroic, Mythic colours should still exist.
Wouldnt really be fair to those who obtained them back when they were current. Classes were balanced differently, different rating requirements etc.
Hard pass for me.
I personally believe that witholding any previously obtainable item under the pretext of “prestige” , “you should have been there” or any other weird flex like that to be a particularly daft way of thinking.
There are feats of strength for that.
I would add every past pvp season as one cosmetic item that unlocks all the full tmog set. If people are so hang up on score or whatever maybe they can keep the rating score reqiurement and just change the currency to whatever those medals are called.
Whilst we’re at it, can PvP get their own designs again? What’s up with those raiding gear recolor that we’ve had since Legion? Feels lazy. As bad as the warfronts were in terms of gameplay, a lot of the armor sets were really cool, really reflected the faction element.
np, speaking of things that weren’t “earned” but just bought.
i for one don’t really care about old elite mogs but i think it’s weird how the mythic tier is still obtainable after the season is over while for pvp it’s not.
i got no horse in this race but it’s weird how blizzards treats pvp/pve cosmetics so differently.
Why is it not fair? You are losing nothing, you still have the set.
If it’s because you don’t want others to have it, because you feel it devalues your achievements, then that is fine, but it is not because it is unfair then.
It’s about preserving the ever flowing forward movement of the game.
Just like the real world, the game is always moving forward. That is why time limited rewards and content make this game so special. It’s a game which is best living in the moment, rather than just living in the past.
I have never put you on ignore, or even threatened to do so.
I actually said, I wouldn’t because there are times you bring up good conversation. But recently you’ve been far too grumpy. There’s no need to hold grudges my friend. It’s okay to disagree on things.
I am specifically asking Jelincic, since he posted almost at the same time in a different thread about “What transmogs would you want put in the Trading Post” and he said the green version of challenge mode Shaman set.
Now I would think that would be fair enough, but by his own account that would not be fair, since it was previously earned and is now gone.
And I thought you must either be some sort of next level meta troll or you genuinely believe this?
That real world analogy makes absolutely no sense in so many ways. Furthermore it is inconsistent with the game itself. We can go back and clear old content and get old mythic raid gear. Absolutely no body talks about “prestige” there. Why is this any different? Because it’s pvp over pve? To continue your bizarre real world comparison, it would be like saying that people aren’t allowed to collect historical memorabilia because the world moved on…
Honestly, I actually think you are trolling when you make threads like this. People who make FOMO threads are pathetic in my honest opinion.
Sorry if I’m sharp today, I had a minor operation this morning and feeling quite under the weather. But still, it’s just pathetic seeing these suggestions.
Yes, 99% of the items are still there for you to collect.
Because these items were tied to a particular challenge or competition which were tuned in a certain way. And completing those challenges or competitions requires that tuning (tuning which is long gone due to the game progress).
Now, imagine you had the opportunity to run the London Marathon. you train and train and train for the event and you complete it in a good time. You are awarded a medal for taking part.
Now, imagine if someone came along the next week, walk around the course and still got the medal for doing it.
Seriously, what is wrong with a percent of items being put aside as a reward for players who want to commit abit of time to the competition?
