That’s the problem in most industries in the world. Filled with people who think “Well I technically have the money to buy that and I want it now, so why not?” instead of thinking “Well I do have the money, but that price is a rip off and not value for money, no thanks”. Scalpers are making so much profit off the former, while the latter is what gets businesses etc to set prices that are fairer or else they won’t sell.
I guess people have too much money
In all fairness, yes the price is a bit over the top, 20 to 25 would be more down the midle. I understand some ppl would have it even lower and prob. Have some good arguments about it too, but meh. If it was lower then maybe I would clone, but I have no intention to play Classic again no matter what price.
im curious how much realm/faction transfers will be in light of this boost, and when they actually become available again. im rolling alliance to play with friends in TBC, but i currently have a 60 mage on horde, which i would rather transfer with epic mount + more gold than what you get from the boost, while i still may eventually buy a boost, id rather see about transferring the mage beforehand.
It was doomed to have dead servers as soon as TBC was announced-- the details of the stupid boosting monster wouldn’t have changed that fact.
Classic will be a ghost town for about a year, until people get bored of TBC content, and indeed realise the hideous direction Classic expansions are going with microtransactions. Oh, people think Blizzard will simply stop at what we have now?
Expect more storemounts-- a flying one for starters. Boosting new races will be unlocked, and they’ll likely add the WoW Token as a ‘solution’ to the botting.
Cloning price has been lowered. A bit too late in my opinion. It’s a normal tactic to set the price high, then lower it later for it to seem better so people would buy it. No thanks Blizzard, it’s too late now, you had your chance. I’m not going to buy it.
It’s more about ppl having no spine and being unable to give the right value to things.
They are the kind of ppl that would spend 1 buck on toilet paper if it was branded and not because they can afford it, rather because they feel to be better if they get that item or simply just buy whatever they are shown.
Yes, well people now think “Oh what a good deal it is, they listened to us. It’s half the price.” Many will fall for it because business cunning works.
No price is a good deal for this ‘service’ in my opinion. It should be free because you ain’t getting a boosted character (and boosted characters shouldn’t exist at all in Classic) you’re copying one you’ve already put in the work for.
I wouldn’t pay 50 pence for it. I’m just going to level up another Paladin for TBC and keep this one in Classic-- because anyway the world and levelling is what makes Classic fun, no?
