Anytime darling
People asking for straight pride: you will get one as soon as people stone you to death or throw you off buildings for being straight.
And Pride marches will take place as long as there will be homophobia in the world. Same as Black Lives Matter marches and The feminist movement who will continue to be organised until people will learn to see part skin colour and genitals.
Pride in WoW is needed because homophobia is a thing in this game and on these forums as well, as seen from all the hatred vomited over the gay community discord threads and the gay couples thread.
When you will learn to accept people as they are, only then parades and marches will not be needed. These events are for visibility and acceptance. If these events bother you, you are part of why they exist in the first place.
Sorry to dissapoint u but no LGBT pride or event should have place in WOW.
Its a game about war between alliance and horde
But by doing that we slowly but effectively take away the fantasy from the game, bit by bit. WoW isn’t meant to represent the real world, not in its entirety at least, and as such shouldn’t have everything from irl in it. “Love is in the Air” is for everyone, even though it sucks. Proof for that is the fact that male players can wear that “Lovely Dress”. You want a holiday where you see rainbows in game, or naked male npcs marching towards Stormwind? If that is your idea, Goldshire is your destination! Seek out the fine establishment known as the “Lion’s PRIDE Inn” you’re welcome.
Exactly! Not only is it about war, but it is also about cosmology and gods! How can a…different person have to do anything with all these, or better, how does he matter in this wider context? The Titans don;t care, the Naaru don’t care, Baine doesn’t care, the Jailer and the Arbiter don’t give a sh*t, and Elune doesn’t care, although she actually bothered to send two of them to Ardenweald. But yeah, these guys just desperately need to spread their ideology. All of us can be a little fanatic, more or less, but propagandizing your ideology into a fantasy GAME? Pathetic.
The LGBT+ community doesn’t " need " it, some just want it.
Maybe this is just me but as the years have gone on I see less and less reason for pride type events and i’ve been too a few of them.
Its 2020, no one cares that you’re Lesbian , Gay , Bi or trans anymore… maybe i’m wrong and the people i spend my time with just don’t care but you’re just another person nothing special to celebrate anymore, welcome to Equality.
Please keep WOW clean …
Also , do you realse the amount of abuse and bullying that will take place ?
Example: What about we have an even that celebrate Jewish Religion , nice idea right ? , did you even take a minute to think about the about discomfort Jewish people will experience cause of haters and trolling ingame ?
I say keep WOW as it is , the calendar is full + we need Blizz to start fixing the game not waste resources to cause more trouble
We don’t need a “pride event” in the game and the constant shoving down the throats. It’s simply asking too much. Even if you can justify with a reason to be included in the game, it soon will open the floodgates for more events nobody asked for.
You cannot change people’s minds by forcing them to like things. The Last of Us 2 tried this with its LGBT-thematic and failed miserably by rejecting everything the first title stood for. RL-politics have no place in this game. This is a fantasy rpg where everything can happen - and that’s enough if you want to play a LGBT-character.
Definitely not thx. In Warcraft lore there isn’t a single mention of any kind of homophobia or anti-LGBT rhetoric anywhere, yet there are some LGBT characters. From that it’s fair to draw an assumption that this kind of bigotry and hate does not exist in Azeroth, at least in the vast majority of it. If there’s no bigotry there’s no need for a pride celebration to make the oppressed minority visible and to push for more rights for it.
Trying to push real life celebrations into a game is not a good idea. Someone already mentioned that they want to escape reality and not have to deal with anything that’s happening outside their screen when they’re playing.
And for me personally, seeing pride showed down another unwilling group of people’s throats wouldn’t make me feel good or finally “accepted” in WoW as a member of LGBTQ, but that’s obviously just my personal feeling about this and other LGBTQ people would feel different about it.
There is little to no sexual engagement in WoW lore to justify a sexual theme.
No thanks.
Keep the RL politics as far from this fantasy world as it is possible.
I support LGBT but sticking parades and notifications everywhere does not make it easy to keep myself from rolling eyes whenerver I hear about it now.
And as many said before me, many people - straight / gay / bi / + escape to this game to escape from the real world for few hours not to experience it in a virtual way.
Is this real life,If it is tell me so i can quit
Thanks but no thanks.
Basic rights are still not politics.
It is not something that should be an event, if so we need to celebrate each life events.
You want LGBT pride, gather your friends, and do it.
In US servers people have done it without asking from Blizzard.
Here is your real motive
