It will. And that is completely OK by me. I’m not saying world quests should reward mythic raid level gear - not at all - but I am happy Ion said they were looking to close the gap somewhat.
I don’t enjoy raiding anymore, so open world content is what I do when I play. When there’s no way to progress my gear in the content I enjoy doing, I lose interest. Not making “demands” here, just stating my thoughts on the topic.
I do think that in these highly concentrated areas that different tagging rules should apply.
Getting a tag during the pre-patch event storms (I assume they’re similar to the endgame ones?) was tough. Even if you joined a group it wasn’t straight forward to nab a tag.
Yeah i feel you, as I’m getting older i dont have much time to invest into game, so raiding is kinda out of option for me. Occasional m+ with irls and pvp is what i do at evenings. Eventualy i might start doing “open world” stuff if life goes in this direction.
I hope blizzard does what yall seek.
BTW Aren’t there world quests that drop ilvl gear based on ilvl that you have equiped, so eventualy that is progressing in open world?
My only problem with ZM was that the Console did not upgrade Account Wide. So my alts got 233 gear (which they replaced with 252 from Primal Storms in pre-patch). I wasn’t upgrading that thing half a dozen times.
ZM gear was the only gear in SL that I felt good in. Covenant gear was crap in Maw, Korthia gear was crap in Korthia. The game seemed to be tuned around players getting good gear from M+.
Yes there are, and that is also completely fine with me. Replacing the same gear with even a tiny ilvl increase is enough for me, because it is progress. My weapon went from 366 to 369 from the same mob after having upgraded some gear via blacksmithing for example.
Chaining M0’s (and shortly M+ / Raids) will of course be much, much quicker and more efficient, as it should in my opinion.
So far, I feel they’ve struck a good balance with how gear progression work in Dragonflight. Hope it continues.
Well that’s what those players would like to see change.
You know… Have world content become an actual 4th pillar of endgame.
And that’s fine if that’s what you like.
But there’s all kinds of players; and they all deserve to have fun in the game.
That’s not world content though.
I’m just not a big fan of instanced content.
Yeah, but you get to that cap way too fast.
I personally would like progression that takes AT LEAST half a season or so.
But of course everyone will have a different opinion about that; many world content players don’t all want the exact same things.
I’ve had the same trinket 3 times now, each time with a small ilvl raise. That’s fine.
I actually don’t agree with that, and that’s based on Ion’s own statement.
In the interview with Preach, he said that he thinks a difference of 30 ilvls between a solo/world content player and a mythic raider is too much.
Yet here we are in DF with a difference between 385 and 424.
That’s 39 ilvls. They have some work to do imo.
Hell, why can’t they make that invasion upgraded gear scale to 395?
That way at least he would be true to his statement. And that gear takes a good long while to get, so imo that’d be a good solution.
Will the Primal Storms work like the pre-patch ones? ie: Bosses on a 20 minute respawn timer and the storms always running? If so, it might be a decent way to quickly level an alt without relying on RNG. If it’s heavily timegated I won’t even bother.
Every 6 hours, two Dragon Isles zones will receive a Primalist force invasion in certain areas. The locations are marked with a red X on your Dragon Isles map. Invasions last for 2 hours, and the 6-hour timer starts once the current invasion ends, giving them an effective 8-hour rotation.
No in vanilla tagging is even worse
It’s per person unless he’s in a group then the group tags
This also behaved in this manner for world bosses and rares until iirc Mists of pandaria
But this is a 2 decades old system we’re better of without
The prepatch invasions were up 24/7 in old zones. So not really the same as a two hour window in new zones where masses of people are leveling and doing dailies as well.
Will it lag the area out? Maybe, probably. I mean just the world boss in Zerith Mortis used to lag the hell out of that zone, and Blizzard’s recent track record with zone lag isn’t exactly the best (Azure Span for example).
Personally, my expections of a smooth experience in Dragonflight went down several levels during the one hour wait for the boat to show up or the portal to work at the start of the expansion.
but my example is about the “classic” wow that became both tbcc and wrath classic
either way said tagging system is awful
and regarding the cobalt assembly elite wq ive seen 5 5 man groups
and joined a raid of 20+ people and surprisingly mob kills counted in a raid group
Its servers very important purpose which is balance. Without tagging players would just create insane amounth of raids and items would drop like crazy or Blizzard would have to decreae drop chance into oblovion. Tag limit allows that drops wont be abused and so drops can keep withing reasonable RNG. So pls stop giving advices about things you absolutly dont underatand.
