Problem with Destruction warlocks and mythic runs > 12++

glad to see that at least chaos bolt is getting a nice buff…while fire mages and moonkins are being nerfed(i don’t care at all, never asked for this). This shows that what I was saying is at least partly right. A lot of work to be done still, but this change instantly with the first PTR release says a lot and I know I am right.

They should buff all other dmg abilities instead of chaos bolt. Destruction would be far better with more dmg outside of CB

you like high key’s 14/15 then warlock is not the class for this, you won’t get invited they will take a hybrid any time over you , why its simple damage output is about the same and they can tank/heal we cant and unless we got a real damage boost we are benched.

I just did a +2 15 and I wasn’t bottom damage. I even missed a big pack because I made a mistake and went up to the necropolis instead of going back. 14 - 15 aren’t high keys and all 3 lock specs can do MORE than enough damage to get through them easily. With the big dogs build on fortified I can sometimes burst to 30k. Seems OK to me.

The damage is not a problem in keys this low.

you got me wrong there m8 its not me who is thinking our damage is to low its a big part of the community who think like this, my point was we can if played right we can do the same numbers as most classes but we can not out dps them and we do not have a tank/heal spec therefor in a lot of cases the hybrid wil get the inv over pure dps classes.

Ye I agree man, I got ksm as destru. Really the absolute biggest improvement for me to get groups is just make friends.

Did you see this? Sjele doing a break the meta run in 22 HOA as destru. He’s blasting with 40K DPS at times with Wilf’s Inferno build :slight_smile:
I think I remember him finishing with around 11k overall.

Please make this hotfix asap so warlocks can be used in higher keys blizzard they dont get invits ect

Make it so Bannish Bannish mob out of reality for 30 sec (basicly like now just on all mobs)

Make fire and brimstone baseline for incinerate and change the talent to be Improved incinerate so the fire and brimstone effekt gets even stronger this would warlocks to work in m+
they dont gets invites for higher keys

Last time i tried it there was a large wall covering the area where you move the camera vertical to see the other side but another warlock has shown it still works…though I still can’t see how they do it now.

It is deffo hard to explain but you place it without seeing the actual landing spot. Tbh I didnt even notice any diff.
Maybe I need play more dungs haha

You just aim in the general direction and spam click it until you find the sweet spot.

Feel like destro is absolutely fine to get a somewhat comfortable (the more or less ‘uncomfortable’ part might be the amount of declines when applying to groups) KSM. HOWEVER- You need to be decently geared and play decently. At +15 and above I personally use the full burst combo including infernal whenever starting with a full HP pack.
Imagine that Destrolock becomes a tier 1-2 meta pick the upcoming patch IF the PTR changes won’t be downgraded.
But that’s just my uneducated guess :man_shrugging:

I feel like the biggest issue is that the infernal build with wilfreds is the best theoretical dmg.
However spamming Rain of fire in a tank kiting meta makes us lose out too much of the potential dmg imo.
For me personly i had best successivt with cinders, korayn first strike. Open with conflag, cata, cfd then just havoc spam.

It all depends on your tank and his pulls, the bigger the pulls and less kiting the more dps you do. On dealer’s wing in DoS we usually pull big where i can easily get up to 35k dps, and on trash before hungering in Mythic CN we usually pull all the trash at once and i can get to 100k dps with BL.

Sadly this doesn’t work in pugs, and if Sjele had a fire mage/boomy in group they would’ve melted the mobs before he can actually get some value out of his spells.

Warlock in general won’t be picked by many, because of our lackluster toolkit for M+.
Healthstones are good, but people need ability to damage on the move and warlocks are not good in this particular department.
Damage could be decent - great even, but in won’t matter, because with how people run keys, no one will try to adjust their playstyle for warlocks needs.
