Problem with zg boosting and got ban

Alright so here is my story:
I was trying to learn the zg leveling boost with my mage to make gold. In the lfg I was saying " ZG leveling boost for free(learning)". Not a lot of people came, but I did this because I wanted to be in a raid to enter zg.
And someone whispers me “What about you give me 20g and I come”. Then it start saying insults and so on. Another then also. I didn’t reply.
3 days after I am banned.
I suspect strongly those guys to have mass report me or it can be the bots I killed in felwood… After 4 days my ban appeal got an answer: I cheated. Violation of service.
I’ve been playing wow since the end of vanilla. The customer support just slapped me in the face when I asked for justice. Thank you.

Not entirely sure how advertising boosting works tbh - might be a grey area blizz can just decide you have done something wrong and leave it at that even if you where doing it for free

Maybe you annoyed the other sellers who make big G from boosts and they decided to stomp you out.

Welcome to the automated report system, it’s a wonderful creation of pure perfection, completely flawless.

I had in game warming for removing a bug blizzz can’t /refuse to fix because other players enjoy using the exploit and can grief other players with it, they go crazy as advertise others to report me when I kill the exploited NPC.

I would rather they thank me and went on their way!

You cheated. End of story. lmao

You dont get banned for cheating for killing bots, id be permabanned a long time ago for murdering them in droves and camping bot packs if im bored

I am wondering yeah, people tell me I annoyed the other zg leveling boost sellers.

Yeah this automated report is just unfair to the people who play the game. And the worst part is that I got banned for hacking/botting, but the real bots, they are still there! This is just a joke

I Cheated Funkey ? Wanna see my computer ? lol , come discord and check all my software and so on. I have nothing to do with this ban ! And I still have no clue what they think I did except saying: hacking. But hacking what, how? I don’t even know how to do this. I don’t even know where the world of warcraft folder is. I open battle net and I play that’s it

Not sure why make a topic regarding this, since this will be the average answer you will get.

Im sure Blizzard bans are on point for most of the cases, but I do know a few personally that got mass reported by people over non-suspendable things and Blizzard perma banned them. The AI even stopped replying to msg’s of appeal over time.

Humans will not look over your suspension, ergo when ever possible try to avoid mass reportings as this is THE ONLY way Blizzard bans/suspends today, no matter what bs line they tell you.

Ty for answering. I think you are right. I think nowadays this is the only way they ban people, with mass report.
Because I saw so many , but so many bots, in felwood, winterspring, even in redridge, duskwood, all hunters leveling, and going in circle, doing always the same path.

If that was the case then everyone would be mass reporting everyone else and there would be no one left in this game.

Stop repeating the same BS, systems automated and trash i agree, but you wont get banned for cheating from mass reports. End of story.

OP enjoy your time off wow you cheating little tadpole

This violation has nothing to do with reporting by players or boosting.

This is the blizzard message:
" Sanction(s):

Account suspended

Violation: cheating

Other players have reported you for cheating. This includes bot use and exploitation of game mechanics."

Being called a cheater when I haven’t been cheating is actually really hurting me. So this is not bs as you call it. I haven’t cheat in 15 years of game. And I never will. I always report bots also as much as I can.

If you can respect also, your language isn’t correct. There have been multiple people getting ban from mass reports Funkey : you can even watch a famous streamer get ban live on stream by being mass report : Payo.

You are not only disrespecteful, but also completly delusional.

I’m expecting a ban at some point if I keep removing the exploited NPC other players are abusing.

I know I’m getting reports sent, but I send tickets when they openly advertise about me/ or send abusive whispers, it’s at least flagged on my account when I’m getting all these false reports.

It would be rather amusing if it happens though

Being banned for removing an exploit players are abusing and using to grief others players (they can’t get runes unless they are at vendor now not sure ) due to blizz not fixing bug’s for months

It causes other issues, but most are scared to rock the cradle and stand up to the exploiters, or are happy to use it to afk for an hour an level up their weapon skills

A few people have helped send the Undying Laborer to the afterlife though, I salute you!

The Trade District shall remain a peaceful and relaxing shopping experience under my watch.

Again, violation reason is only a text template for automated messaging.
You can appeal and if staff will check your logs and finds out the ban is unjustified you get unbanned and depending on case the reporters get banned for intentional false accusations.

Excuse me? If you behave like this in game, I have an idea why people report you.

Which is true in many cases and the real issue with the whole system, when innocent customers are affected.

I wasnt saying you are disrecpecful and delu to you Pacalis but to funkey.

Not how it works.

And you 100% will get perma banned from mass reports.

https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/firemaw/weavex <— Good friend of mine, was pushing the whole of Wotlk to reach the #1 spot for achys. Guy 100% never botted in WoW. He was killing some mob for a toy for weeks, and turns out this mob was a quest NPC which people needed.

Long story short he was mass reported over many weeks and perma banned. They never gave him his acc back. Now you can chose to believe this stuff does not happen, but after seeing this I know it does.

Blizzard does not check, nor do they care. AI does it all nowadays. Not saying op was botting/cheating or not, and like I said, im sure most of the times they get it right, but not always.

The ZG boost by mages has been a bannable offense since the 2019 classic where as soon as ZG opened trade and lfg channels were totally overflown by mages offering ZG boosts for money.

Ppl got endlessly annoyed by it that so blizzard made it a topic in the report window, limited the number of mobs affected by consecration and blizzard (yes palas were doing the same).

So now as soon as you are offering boosts, a number of players will report you.

That npc ur talking about does it happen to be named “Undying Laborer” ?
I made a thread about that here: Undying Laborer kited into Stormwind

But i guess he didnt get banned for reason: cheating
did he?

Yes that’s him!

That’s Old Wullie, he used to work with us Union lads down the mine’s until there was a cave in due to Kobold sabotage.

Evil priests and paladins have been resurrecting him and using his poor skeletal body for their own dark gratification.

Old Wullie was a nice guy, he deserves to be left in peace and buried with dignity.

The Labor Union will not stand by and allow this to continue! We have workers in town trying to save him from these creatures attacking him.

Yes payo did get ban for hacking/cheating. He made a video about it and also show what blizzard said to him. He also says that he got “streamer privelege” because he got unban quite fast.
Learn from what mistake? trying to get gold because I wanted my 100% mount , then got ban for it because of reports. Yes now I know blizzard has one of the worst customer service I saw, and that people are reporting for nothing.

And I’m not blaming the people but the company blizzard, because I think they just lack of employee for customer service… Otherwise GM are good in general and kind I think.

I have been perma banned for cheating exactly for the same reason the OP said. It’s not because you kill them, it’s when you offer the same service they offer but cheaper that they mass report you.

You’re the only to really know if you cheated or not. But if you didn’t, then yeah you aggro’d the bot mafia by offering boosts for free.

So you know the system is fallible but you still trust it ?
I think the OP is right is making the issue known because Blizzard really need to pay actual employees to look after those bans rather than setting a very limited AI. It especially has the gall to tell you that every ban is issue by a real person when it is definitely not.

More often than not there is no staff to look at your appeal.

Boosting for gold has never been a bannable offense in SoD. It’s been going on openly since the beginning

At least check the facts before you climb on your high horses.
