One of a crafting profession weekly quests is usually getting some stuff (8-10) dropping from mobs somewhere. Drop rates are horrible and mobs are sparse. Without competing players, these can take 10-15 mins and much longer is there’s someone else around. This is universal among profession quests and afair only these are that bad so it is design choice. Can you please make this normal?
I came here to say this - the Enchanting weekly had to kill Foragers to collect 15 X item (Crystal Quill Pen) and there’s maybe 3 of them over the entire area and you have to wait for them to respawn? The other enchanting quest was slightly better (Pincers and Needles) but man… this was gross to play. Fun-o-meter negative Blizzard… remember DF is about having fun… not classic style grind quests.
Gonna have to agree. The drops are beyond terrible even after Blizzard said they have increased the drop rate. It’s just completely tedious and makes the whole profession system in DF even more worse due to the gating that Blizzard have done all in for (Reknown, Specialisation) and now the incredibly low drop rates.
The drop rates were increased for sure. I just understand why we can’t have 1-2 drops per kill. It would make much more sense but instead, I get Grizzly Hills bear butts flashbacks.
I often wonder if blizz actually reads stuff like this. Be nice if there was a little “We hear you - we’re going to take a look into it, thanks for the feedback!”, you know? Even if it was just a standard reply template
Unlikely. It’s more “500k people didn’t resub, check on forums what’s up.” And then they find “nerf vokers!!11one”.
As I said - I don’t believe they can keep this up. Maybe it’s a small thing and I literally need one piece on a specific character but still, I can feel WoD, BFA and Shadowlands ghosts lurking. People with bad ideas and the determination to destroy the game strive to push back and bring back the crap we were served for years.
I’m pretty sure they must have some automated system checking what kind of player you are. Like - if you subbed for 12 months your opinion doesn’t matter, as it doesn’t affect their bottom line until the eleventh hour. Or month, as it were.
I made a LW and stumbled upon the quest “Basilisk Bucklers”. The aforementioned basilisks drop 1 or 2 items per kill. What a perfect design! I wouldn’t mind if it required 100 of these because I make progress no matter what.
I don’t know if it was like that before but this is how every quest in the game should be.
Not being ironic, I was really positively surprised.
