Professions are too complex

If 99% of the playerbase agreed with you, the AH prices would be much lower.

Yep, the raiders will startover in 6 months.

Pitty them. :grinning:

So that’s a no?

Having to go to 3rd party websites to do casual stuff in a game was never good in the first place imo.

Sure, but we’ve already done this Profession and Knowledge Point leveling in Dragonflight, and now we get to do it again in The War Within. And it’s mostly the same through and through.

Does the prospect of doing it a 3rd time in 2 years excite you or not?

Not me, Im a returning player after a decade. It’s all fun for me.

Edit: and then I hear complaints from ā€˜seasoned’ players that crafting is too difficult. Sheesh. :slightly_frowning_face:

So the prospect doesn’t excite you?

Expansion was released for everyone on 27.08.2024. We are on day #28 at the moment I type this. That’s 4 full weeks, and entering the 5th. Also, the expansion is supposed to last 18 to 20 months, not 24 months.

If the rate of acquisition of KP for my main profession so far is any indication, I will not have acquired enough to unlock every node (and therefore learn every item for it) before 11.1. I still need 575 KP to max Jewelcrafting. I have already earned 145, with 40 of those from vendors. If we earn 100 points per month, that’s almost 6 months from now.

Mining is at a better place, needing only 370ish more points and still haven’t bought 30KP from vendors for it.

I loved this post from Reddit that summarized the insanity of it all. Worth a read:
I’m sorry, it’s the elekk in the room: Crafting embellished gear is really too convoluted for new/returning players. It’s quite bad. : r/wow (reddit.com)

Reddit, I love it.
You get the best and the worst, all in one. :smirk:

But the complaint has merit, regardless of it being on Reddit.

Even I, a ā€˜seasoned’ player of more than 20 years, have totally nope’d out of the crafting system, as it’s just too convoluted and hard to understand the ins and outs of.

Exactly.
I agree with them

I have no idea what im doing & have just been throwing points here there & everywhere.
Dont rly care too much as im currently only doing professions to get that achievement that requires you to have 5 professions at max.

Got the gathering ones at max & im currently working on engineering. Going really slow about it tho as i dont feel like spending too much money on mats at the start of the expansion due to high prices.

But to be honest, the topic of this thread is:

ā€˜Crafting is too complex.’
And not:
ā€˜Crafting is too time consuming’

Don’t you agree?

Yes, that is the topic of the thread. I agree. I feel like that’s what we discuss as well.

Everything is way too complex for fury warrior
