Professions for hunter alt character

Greetings,

I still cant decide what professions I should go on my hunter.

I am planning to main a priest which is tailor/enchanter and I dont know what to pick for my alt hunter.

I was considering Leatherworking/skinning or Alchemy/herbalism. Looking from my perspective, as Leatherworker I will be able to craft my own gear but wont earn a lot of money with those professions. If I go with Alchemy, I will be able to make potions for my hunter and my priest, also to sell some and to try to make some gold.

What do you think it will be better option to go? And if I pick Leatherworking, what specialization is the best for hunters? Same question for Alchemy as well.

What are your plans and what are you going to choose on your hunters or what would you suggest to someone who never played TBC before?

Thank you for the responds.

There is one profession for TBC, mining, anything else is a waste of space. You will make so much money in early TBCC.

Leatherworking is the “vanilla Engineering” of TBC - any person who halfway cares about their character needs to have it and Blizzard aren’t looking to change that.

The second best Profession is to make a Mage now and stock up on gold in advance of TBC so you won’t need to care when the game actually launches

And which specialization should be the best option to go for Leatherworking?
