Hello everyone I was wondering if it’s good to do some professions while leveling?
I started leveling a warrior and want to know if I should maybe do blacksmithing while leveling to craft some weapons? Bcs I know weapons are most important for leveling as warrior.
Or should I just take 2 gathering professions and make gold that way for easier mount buy at lvl 40? I know I will spend much gold and won’t make any profit so I wanna hear your input on this.
In very general terms, any profession is much more easily levelled at 60 than during levelling. So if you do not strictly want to experience the “journey” with bs/mining, you might as well go herbing and skinning. Herbs always sell, and skins are going to be in some demand now, because I’m sure there are people who want first dibs on LW for tbc drums.
Basically, sell herbs, sell skins, buy horses, buy blue/epic weapons and then do whatever you like at 60.
Also at this point in the game, blacksmithing is just a massive gold sink with 0 benefit. The only reason to get it at all is if you want stormherald asap in TBC. But even then you are better off selling mats you get while levellig in outland and then powerlevel bs at 70, so…
I’d recommend grabbing mining and skinning whilst levelling, saves you the trouble of running back and levelling them up.
Skinning currently wont earn you anything, and mining profit will be minimal (although still more than enough for a lvl40 mount). Come TBC though?
DPS warriors and Enh shamans will both be wanting weaponsmithing, so there’ll be demand for ores and bars. And every DPS serious about raiding will be wanting leatherworking, so there’ll be a HUGE demand for skins.
