Proffession complexity

I dont really have much time these dayts, and I find it so tedious and completely convoluted to get good level with my proffessions. I used to enjoy, creating and making some amazing things with farming the materials, but I have to have crafted gear, by using tons and tons of the weekly shards that drop.

Theres no catch up mechanic, and I’ll never be able to meet the requirements before the end of the expansion to fill all the talents up and get diamond in crafting. I liked the idea of a talent tree, but I find it so long winded to create actually worthy gear. Just isn’t fun. I’m better off buying from someone else.

There is a catch up mechanic tho it could be better. With the new expansion coming you should get into the professions from the beginning and if you dont have a lot of time to put into them to keep up(a few hours a week to get the weekly knowledge points). If you want to make gold i dont recommend trying to get into the work order market if you dont have a lot of time to put into it, but look into something like enchanting and jewelcrafting where you can make a good profit with concentration builds, specially on alts. But if you just want to craft your own gear, you just have to level up the professions and do the weekly quests and some crafts to max your weekly knowledge.

Feel you.
I gave up trying in Dragonflight. Professions used to be fun chill thing to do but now it feels like a job. Getting right equipment, constantly adding some skill points somewhere, researching how it all works, what each stat gives you, which specialization to go, then you hit skill 50 and realize you have no recipes to do to skill up so you have to go google again just to find out you need to go farm recipes which is often in dungs or behind reputation and once you have them you need people to send you work orders because of some sparks, so you go research what the hell are sparks and how to get them… half of the stuff requires you to be at some bench so you can’t no more craft wherever you want… It’s no more fun. It’s a job. You really have to think whether this is worth the gold you can earn from it. Especially once you realize that 1 wow token is equivalent of some 30-60 min of real job and actually yields quite a lot of gold. If you need gold then it’s probably much better alternative than going through this insanity
