We really enjoyed Classic. We have cleared whole content… From Ragnaros to Kel’Thuzad… I got my first guild Kingsfall on my roge… Getting Commander rank w/ my friends in end of the game… And with memories like this I can continue to midnight… It was a great time. >> Pure epicness.
But now? SERIOUSLY What have become from this game now?
The amount of brainless CHANGES are damn too high. All negative things are coming and will be coming, its not end yet. It’s starting with removing /spit emotes. (Seriously Blizzard, what the…?) How it helps removing emote after 16 years? Remove /rofl, /lol, /lmao and /rude also because spamming that on dead low level player corpses is OFFENDING as well.
Back on Classic I was so dumb. I thought - yes, you can laugh your butts off on me but I thought they will be destroying only retail like they did since first BfA patch and will leave Classic alone. So I bought subscription for 1 year and 6 months. It ends on June 2022 now. So I hope they will use my money wisely. Unsubed.
I spent thousands of hours on my roge looking forward to play with her on tBC and enjoy the happiness and joy with good ol’ tBC but it lasts for a 2-3 weeks after that I get only despare and misery with all these “good game-enhancing” changes.
I am still naively hoping Blizzard will stand against these progressive modern trends and will be on his own for example like Rockstar Games is - ignoring these brainless activists who want to be heared - but I don’t partially believe it

The removal of /spit is clearly a move to protect their cashcows from feeling buyer’s remorse. This then generates more profit for Blizz. Nothing progressive about this. Just good old capitalism

They removed /spit only from TBC classic, not from retail. That suggests the reason they are doing it is only motivated by the store mount, where people were using /spit on store mount users in TBC. It’s not motivated by SJW culture, it’s motivated by money.
While I’m all for equality and acceptance of everyone, I agree that it’s bad that Blizzard is bending over for every little thing that the SJWs cry about.
The game should remain true to its original state, since that’s what we all asked for with Classic in the first place. And if some people cannot handle the game for what it is, then maybe they should play something else.
This is on par with the removal of statues and other things from history. It cannot be rewritten - nor forgotten - and trying to forcefully remove and rewrite history and pretend that nothing bad ever happened is bound to cause more trouble than good.
Just leave it be and stop being a d*ck. Contain your egos. This applies to both sides of the coin, SJWs and bigots.

Well nothing but anecoditcal evidence. I’ve seen dozens of Cash Shop mount in SW and Shattrath and never I’ve seen someone spitting on those cs mounts. Thinking that a streamer has such power that a vast majority of players on the other side of the continent do this brainless stuff is nothing more than spectulations straight out of la-la-land.
I would rather bet it is a PR stunt by Blizzard to show “Hey guys we act against harassment. We are now the good ones. Pleast trust fingers crossed”.

The whole Maneuver is a PR stunt and a decoy. The community did nothing wrong but the Blizz executive did. You must be very indocrinated to think their is actual harm coming from an IN-GAME EMOTE. Also this emote exists for 15 years and I’ve never heard of any long-term mental consequences linked to the spit emote. It is disgusting how Blizzard wants to portray the community as the bad guy in this whole sexual harrassment dilemma.
Maybe they should instead search for a strong independent leadership. And by that I wanna explicitly exclude the wokeness crowd because lately they do more harm than good by more and more radical demands. Nobody needs to be “woke” to treat his employees fair and respectful.
And I am not even using this emote. My go to is /lick for almost any interaction in the game.
