PSA: TRP3 is affected by a bug on the PTR, but it's getting fixed

What the hell Oh my God no Way Sound Effect (youtube.com)

It shouldn’t affect Listener, since (AFAIK) Listener only reads your chat log and doesn’t itself communicate with other players at all.

on what planet lmao

Oh that’s a relief. There’s that, at least.
I imagine Emote Splitter will be hit by this too. :frowning:

Not even emote splitter, only addons like TRP3 and Musician, because they use special chat channels to communicate information

If you get onto the track of the lore that the devs are delivering. Helldivers are basically a massive DnD game that the players are within.

We live in the darkest timeline.

That doesn’t make it an MMO or an RPG. Helldivers is a Third Person Co-Op shooter with a reward track and unlockables

Edit: I love Helldivers 2 and play it tons with friends. But Multiplayer and a leveling system does not an MMORPG make

I’m going to give benefit of the doubt here.

Saying that WoW players are, broad-brush-strokes, ‘just whining’ is absolutely ignoring years and years of;

  1. Carefully laid out, reasonable requests and arguments and suggestions, backed up with data a lot of the time, getting outright ignored. This then leads to people getting fed up and resorting to kneejerk doomerism because, well, the Other Way didn’t freaking work.
  2. Dev team silence or, worse, hostility to player feedback. Also a ‘healthy’ mix of just outright fumbling the ball/intention.
  3. The sheer amount of times ‘No guys, really, just wait and see!’ has burned any and all backlog of faith the dev team had, even before BFA and SL.

Also, acting like the HD2 community is not full of some of The Worst examples of Gamers™, if not outright Alt-Right/Fash, then… well. Lol. Lmao, frankly.

Edit: Also, yeah, in no way is HD2 an MMORPG. They’re online, they’re multiplayer, that’s the limit of similarities, objectively.

They’ve basically taken the approach of in-game, there is very little narrative beyond the order descriptions, but full on roleplay on their social medias with genuine worldbuilding that also impacts the gameplay progression(Such as campaigns, supply lines etc).

You also have them essentially play DND gamemasters by changing in-game events on the fly in response to events & player actions. So Darvalien has a point, its just very differently done.

Thank you! Someone with more skillfulness in explaining is doing the job for me. This is exactly what I meant. <3

Yes way? Prove me wrong? Please, I’m genuinely curious here.

Honetly, I will rather die for SuperEarth, then read this whole post. Your propaganda of symphaty to the alien and cyborg will be reported to a recruitmeant officer.

Oh yeah, I absolutely agree with all of this and I love how Helldivers 2 ties their updates and gameplay changes into the story via propaganda and social media.

I just feel calling it an MMORPG is like calling a Duck a Chicken because it lays eggs

The burden of proof is on you here sadly.

Oh good grief…

Yes, good, wonderful, this ‘humour’ was stale the ten MILLIONTH time some LARPer (apologise to IRL LARPers at this point) posted it…

I suppose you think Imperial Guard Shovel memes from 40k are Peak™ as well?

This is fair, I’m not sure exactly what to call it to be honest. But it’s an interesting way to go about it.

To be fair, the absolute drone no-brain regurgitation of the meme is part of what makes it funny.
