It’s one of those things where when you play, it’s really funny. But it also relies on everyone understanding that it’s meant to be 100% satire and absolutely not legitimate & not something people should unironically worship or agree with.
Helldivers is in a very odd spot where you got people who fully understand that its meant to be Starship Troopers levels of “Fascism is clearly awful, but the satire is funny” and actual gamers chuds who unironically think its catering to them. And it can be hard to filter out who is who right away.

I think that, if this goes through, this is what’ll become the focus for many people (or rather, even moreso). It’s already the trend across MMO’s RP scenes, and that’ll increase significantly.
Which is a shame, because imo it cuts off much of what makes RP in an MMO as fun, interesting, and unique compared to other platforms for roleplay.

I do doubt it, but it is generally in a bit of poor taste to suddenly have 6+ people with no posts prior show up to dunk on the one person you disagree with.
It can be handled alot better.

In all seriousness though I love when other games have thriving RP scenes, it means a nice flow of ideas and art all over and its always a joy to witness
Frankly this conversation is not a conversation anymore, the point of the topic has derailed beyond talking about TRP and or any effects this API change will have, I do not pertain to any side, nor do I act like my Helldivers 2 sh*t-posting is an actual opinion at all.

It’s one measure for surviving the sharded environment. Not ideal, but people keep on keeping on even after the main RP forum was closed down (it was a third party thing.)
Saying that the removal of TRP3 will be the death of the RP game is a little bit too much. It will make things harder for sure, but people will either adjust, or a new addon will crop up.
