PTR Option not shown on laucher

I am trying to get ready to play the SOM Beta.

I have reinstalled battle net laucher and looked at the blue posts.

The drop down menu says
BC Classic
Wow Classic
and
Live wow

No option for PTR

I have also created an account

Any suggestions?

I would wait till they end maintenance. If there is no option to select from BNet launcher then either it’s not active (your BNet client did not get updated config) or they didn’t enabled it yet for all users.

Hi, I’ve created a PTR account and get the promt “account created”. However in my launcher, I cant see any new “PTR” account and I cant see any PTR games to install. I only see the Live Classic ones and the Live Shadowlands one. I have game time and so on…

I’ve had the same issue for a couple of days now. I created the PTR account the other day but the only options I’ve got are live Classic and live Shadowlands, no In Development option.

I’ve uninstalled Battle.net multiple times and deleted the Tools folder but that didn’t fix the problem. I’ve also cleared out the cache but that hasn’t fixed the issue either.

I know there’s maintenance going on at the moment so not sure if that has any impact? Although I know people who have had no issue downloading the PTR so I’m guessing not.

I’ve created PTR account on “My accounts”, but it wont show on the battle.net launcher. I’ve tried clearing cookies, i’ve tried re-installing both the game and battlenet.

Hi all,

We’re currently investigating reports of newly added PTR licences not showing up in the Battle.net app.

The most reliable workarounds so far to try would be resetting your password, or uninstalling and re-installing the Battle.net app (don’t forget the step to delete the tools folder as well).

Some have also had success by adding another started edition account on top and then retrying. If you need to remove an old or otherwise unused starter edition account, you can do so yourself here.

Let us know if any of that helps or you notice any other changes.

Hi! Creating a new (another) starter edition account weirdly enough made the PTR work! :slight_smile:

I can confirm this solution, worked for me also, strangely enough…

I can approve that changing your password ‘works’, ptr is shown now.
