They will be, yep.
Damnit, no glasses for under my hat… or Human male warrior then :SadGnome:
Apparently Adelais knows
Someone on twitter managed to get the actual item on the PTR somehow and it was a cosmetic head item so!
I seem to recall seeing that they got the item links via a macro/script and that was how they were able to be viewed in-game?
I’m not saying we’re not going to be getting them, but I’m not going to celebrate until there’s an actual source of drop/pattern.
even in spite of the evidence, i simply can’t believe this when looking at her arc from the start of BFA to now
just makes me sad, man.
Really wish they’d have tried to develop more new guys than flushing ye olde Warcraft faithful down the toilet on repeat. Bit of a shame that Shadowlands isnt really the place for that outside of developing Shadowlands-bound guys we’ll probably never see again.
The writer thinks her being evil is cooler and sees the setting as his personal sandbox where he can just mess around, lore precedence be damned.
I can believe it.
Dread kicks in
Fair though - but they definitely seem to be intended to obtainable and used at least! We’ll have to see as to how.
Blizzard should never have made her Warchief. That was done, purely for fan service and the writing showed. When something is purely done for the fans, then the writing suffers, because it’s an after-thought.
Look at the whole Loyalist thing…total after-thought, because people wanted to be loyal to Sylvanas, yet it was pointless anyway, because all those quests were, were “Go along with it, smile and then pose.”
If they were serious about the Loyalist thing, then they would have taken the time to give Sylvanas loyalists new quests, which were totally not part of the Saurfang Loyalist quest.
For example, Sylvanas fans going around Silverpine Forest, Ghostlands (??), perhaps Zin-Azshari, searching for the Touch of the Void (the shadow priest off-hand from Legion), but they simply were not.
Kinda telling how one of the more compelling and fleshed out characters from recent expansions is a knife.
At least they decided to keep Azshara alive instead of killing her unceremoniously. That’s probably one of the few good narrative decisions they made in BFA.
Only the bulky creatures in Korthia are tameable so far for hunters, under the Bear family. Those little hoppers or the wyvern-like flyers are so far untameable, but I hope they do become tameable!
Oh dear lord, Buttons and Moiraz are an achievement in the Sanctum of Domination!
Achievement Name: Name A Better Duo, I’ll Wait
Criteria: Defeat the Tarragrue after entering the mists and reuniting Moriaz with Buttons in the Sanctum of Domination on Normal difficulty or higher.

While yes, good choice - what would Azshara ever do? She’s in N’zoth realm (why would we let her go, how would we let her go?), and the narrative choice of ‘lol i was doing this long con to DEFEAT n’zoth im on ur side honestly!!’ is also meh.
unless something something naga race that i hope will never happen.
she should’ve died tbh
I think their modern writing team is horrible, don’t get me wrong. But Azshara in herself is a great character. I’m tired of them killing off all notable lore characters one by one because they have proven terrible at introducing new ones like how the Jailer has been portrayed so far.
Denathrius is great, though. The one exception.
Edit; Unless there’s some kind of “this isn’t even my final form” type exhibition change for the Jailer I find him incredibly dull as an intimidating final villain.
I get that, but currently Azshara’s just a dead character anyway. In general the writing team kills characters when they don’t have to (and don’t bring in new ones), or don’t kill characters when it makes sense to.
However good Azshara is as a character, she should’ve died since we’ve beaten her already anyway. N’zoth saved her - cool, but turns out she’s just…imprisoned by some no-name person in N’zoth’s realm.
And yeah, Jailer’s incredibly dull generic bad guy. Doesn’t even look menacing.
every time i see him my eyes are locked firmly on those stupid nipples. i just can’t not stare. it’s so dumb.
From what I’ve gathered on the PTR, the new Maw content gives me some Trial of the Crusader/Isle of Thunder vibes, Korthia itself being more like TotC and the main Maw area being like IoT with their designs.
Not only beaten her, but beaten her soundly, at the centre of her powerbase, after she had time to prepare, and with N’zoth’s backing. She can’t work as a threatening villain anymore because her power level has been established: weaker than us.
Ah, so what you’re saying is she needs to get spiky blonde corals on her head before trying again.
Isn’t that the power level of basically every creature with the power to crack Azeroth in two?
Well the jury’s still out on Sargeras.
And this…is to go…even further…beyond…
