PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 1)

It feels like it all kinda makes a bit of sense though. Just in the aspect where none of the ‘gods’. I use the term loosely, fully care about the lil’ dots on the planets. Light not really caring about their subjects, but just ensuring there is always more subjects to come, ect.

I imagine this is just kinda further showing how any of these big godly leaders don’t give too much of a toss about us, and just wanna ensure their own goals are sorted.

Except Elune cried when she found out she condemned her favorite children

She calls the Nelf her “favourite children.” idk man, I don’t remember the story taking on a Biblical tone where gods are smiting the wicked and asking old men to kill their children even if they really really love them and that we’re dealing with a Goddess that has been depicted in the same vein Odin/Zeus were.

As I said, this feels manufactured. This is a Jaina arch#54, let’s forgive and forget despite these tremendous failures.

Damn elune was a baddy all along

I mean she did let 'em die, so again, her goals came as priority. But- Least that’s how I see it. She may care some, but it does seem like, with any of these all powerful figures, they’re gonna put their matters first.

But, tbf. - I think anyone could read for years into this, and still be wrong because Blizz next week will go: “she was forced to do this by a bigger, evil-moon-god.”

RIP all the other worlds that worship Elune, I guess ya’ll should have picked a better deity.

I await the amount of Olympicl level Copium snorting from Sylvanas fanboys trying to justify a redemption arc because this all happened because Elune didn’t do nuthin’, because personal respon- no not even that, good writing be damned.

Dont forget the lunalai also

What is there to justify? It was elune, plain as day

Thats all there is to it now.

It was all the moon

Eluvanas had to do what she did because she did it when it happened and therefore she couldn’t stop herself from doing it.

I’m gonna take these remarks as dunks on the general story and narrative instead of the usual “Nelfoids owned again haha!” kind of comments.

Disappointed that there was no information on why Tyrande’s powers waned last second and whether or not Elune directly contributed to that.

But I don’t see why this paints Elune as the culprit for Teldrassil. She didn’t intervene with the Legion, the Black Empire, the Cataclysm or any other number of arguably more planet-wide catastrophes. Why do people suddenly think she could intervene at Teldrassil? I take it as more of a ‘best of a bad situation’ situation in that she tried to at least make sure their souls had a purpose after the burning, not knowing about the Maw since it would have been a very recent development.

“the victim mustn’t pursue justice” is a very intriguing narrative to come out of blizzard, tbf

What an iconic queen. Honestly if Elune was Agatha, i’d rate that, just for the iconic energy alone.

oof but true

oh yeah for sure, this story is a trashfire.

She said she started the cascade that caused it. So it’s not so much making the best of a bad situation.

She purposely created the situation.

cuz she must choose between vengeance and renewal!!! for

idk, no reason lol

god.

“And upon thee blade thou shall fall. And thee blade bee… irony.”
-Some dude in 1300 probably.

“…and in the wake of tragedy, sent forth the cascade of souls to sustain you.” From the subtitles on the official video. The burning happened regardless, she only responded to it.
