PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 1)

I would laugh if it wasn’t so sad…

My man Captain Grim spitting fire.

The most relating one being about having left work and yet still feeling like you’re there as you log in.

My man, there’s nothing in me that would lead me to believe that there will be any form of QoL in the last patches or it will be as obnoxious as 8.3.

Aviana and other Wild Gods were resurrected to defend Mount Hyjal from the forces of the fire Elemental Lord Ragnaros. After the mountain was saved, Aviana turned her attention to G’Hanir once again. She set out to restore the Mother Tree to its full glory. During the war in Draenor Aviana offered the Arakkoa a place on the Great Bough…
So the Tree was restored, and now armed and fully operational… :eyes:

Look you’re a perpetually wrong individual so I try not to engage with you but I don’t want anyone else to be convinced by your wrongness.

Aviana turned her attention to G’Hanir once again. Times had changed, but her dream of providing a spiritual haven for her kind had not. She set out to restore the Mother Tree to its full glory.

The branch of the Mother Tree remained in the Emerald Dream. Unbeknownst to the druids, the forces of the Emerald Nightmare were already gathering for an assault. When they investigated key sources of power within the Dream, they discovered the true nature of G’Hanir.

The satyr lord Xavius, working on behalf of the Burning Legion to taint the Dream, ordered his forces to exercise caution. This branch of G’Hanir was corrupted slowly, very slowly, in such ways that even its guardians could not sense it.

When the Nightmare revealed itself, this branch suddenly pulsed with evil. Had it been left corrupted, it might have thrown the entire Emerald Dream into chaos.

Since it has been cleansed, that plan, at least, was thwarted.

It is too dangerous to leave G’Hanir hidden anymore. The Nightmare covets the branch’s power; obscurity will no longer suffice. The strength of the Mother Tree must be used to drive the forces of evil away from Azeroth. Aviana agrees, and sends it off with her blessing.

Perhaps one day this branch will be returned to the Dream to once again bring peace and stability to the realm.

But for now, its true value will be in the hands of a champion. Its destiny is to save countless lives and cleanse corruption from our world.

Aviana explicitly did not restore the mother tree. There was a single branch of it left, which is now in the hands of the restoration archdruid and also probably drained of all power following the whole sargeras sword slurp session, same as every other artifact.

Really, G’hanir doesn’t matter anymore anyways since the ED isn’t a afterlife of anything except lost druid souls.

Not even the Wild-Gods go there to restore anymore…:weary:

The Dream is just there for night elves to be weirdly fae and have a portal network now.

Can’t give the Kirin Tor monopoly on transportation, now!

To be honest I’d take Dreamway over any sort of Mage teleport any day. It’s so pretty. My most beloved screenshot from the game is still from Dreamway I’m sure.

Oh, I agree! The Dreamway is absolutely gorgeous. As soon as I saw screenshots of it, I knew I’d be maining druid in Legion.

Well, took me a while, but I finally caught up on my renown and on the story again. And well… I guess we’ll see a Sylv becoming the next Arbiter after we nuke Zovaal or something? And apparently Mal’ganis escaped (ofcourse he did…).

I guess the only twist I look forward to is perhaps seeing Sire Denathrius become the Saruman of the story and screw the Jailer over while still not being on our side.

But honestly… I just don’t know what to think with this game anymore…

I mean Horde on Classic is still fun. Absolutely right about Alliance though.

Just started watching some of the recent cinematics and interactions on Youtube.
Not gonna lie, when Uther and Jaina are talking and Arthas’ music/refrain fades in in the background? Instant goosebumps.

I just wish, if he’s going to be a thing, I had the confidence it would be done justice. With how SL has been overall, I just can’t have that hope :frowning:

justice for what? it was all elune/the evil half of her soul

But justice, honour and truth are all subjective and rarely if at all treated with any consistency.

Expect even less in the “Light is actually bad” expansion down the line as all paladins collectively shed their last hairs and the orcs claim honour at some new atrocity.

“I can’t believe…”

Is usually how a sentence would begin. But now, I can believe any stupid move they’re pulling. The latest one being of making Thrall totally responsability free of Garrosh’s fate. He’s not completely responsible but the dude had a hand in it and how things eventually turned out only for him to act a bit late when the issues were too big to ignore anymore.
