Monkey’s paw curls one finger and you also get Ultramarines.
Probably rushed out faster than we’re accustomed to so as to plug the gushing wounds in the playerbase.
28th/29th is New World launch and not far off. And falls onto our reset days.
Thats also near the end of the month, so that may encourage race/faction changes and resubs, cause more people will be getting paid.
I think it makes perfect sense. New World is only just about to start and looks to be a promising addition to the MMO genre. FF XIV is established and crushing WoW in the public eye. They can only put 9.1.5 opposed to one of the two and we just had a 6 month sub deal so that is on cd by the time Endwalker comes out. Also they can coincide it with a Black Friday sale.
I played the New World Beta. It honestly needed some work, it seemed promising but fairly shallow – it was entertaining for a short while but…
If survival games and pvp is your thing it’s alright. The factions were boring though. You have church men, athiest science men, really angry warrior men. It was going to suffer from some very cookie cutter builds with how the weapons worked.
If so it will be rushed, Legion timewalking is not even up on PTR yet.
I really doubt we will see release date anytime soon.
Releasing rushed and unbalanced timewalking? Shirley not! It’s unheard of!
LF Boomie, full bis timewalking gear (MOP leggo, essences, azerite gear all traits unlocked plz)
FF releasing actual new content (a whole expansion) vs WoW making minor changes? I think it’d stack up better against New World to stop that taking more people.
Perhaps Blizz should do more of these once they’ve stopped over-indulging the High Elf crowd… But the High Elf is never satisfied until they get Blonde Elf with Alleria’s tattoos and don’t go into void form in combat and also with Paladin for a class. Even then I doubt they’ll finally be sated.
One day the Void in Void Elf will be voided for the Alliance unless to do more of these and perhaps a bit more spotlight but then again when you’re in the spotlight it’s bound to be a Monkey’s paws wish.
The duality of man.
Well the high elf crowd can remove tentacles, so both side of the fence would benefit.
Give more void hairstyles!
Void elves need a creepy third eye and mouths growing on arms and legs. Double down on the mutations I say.
Perhaps they should not be so stubborn and allow the actual oldest Allied Race in the Alliance to be playable.
The reason we didn’t have High Elves as their own race with their own button is yet another symptom of Blizzard refusing to listen to fans in the past, now they are throwing crumbs and making Void Elves to look like High Elves because they know they went wrong.
Give some face tentacles, like draenei tendrils (or sith purebloods)
Void Elves are one of the worst races ever conceived and it was a massive mistake on Blizzards behalf thinking this would appease anyone. Their lore and introduction is fanfiction tier garbage pulled out of their rear within five minutes to somehow justify a new extra special type of elf joining the Alliance instead of a very well established group of elves who have been there: the Silver Covenant.
Blizzard always said they would not add High Elves because of population imbalance concerns. Then they add these void elves thinking this will let them have the cake and eat it. They were completely wrong; Void Elves completely killed the Blood Elf population. So now they’re just doing what everyone wanted anyway, the damage already being done.
And considering Alleria is a Void Elf that looks like a High Elf, I don’t see the issue Blizzard had beyond it being a contrived one, that being “oh god we just nearly drained the Horde of players we can’t make it go further.”
They need distorted faces and stuff, mouths where they should not be.
Just look at 8.3 NPC models.
Corruption should corrupt.
Quite frankly I am sure the demand for High Elves would have been significantly less if Blizzard hadn’t been dangling them in front of player’s noses since Vanilla wow, showing them to be present in the world, and in the lore, only to then go “But you’re -NOT- getting them”. This goes on even after the Blood Elf introduction as well as continued presence of High Elves in the story as part of the Alliance.
It’s as Pullo said, they were scared Belf players would go Alliance en masse, and whoops, it still happened when the Void Elves came.
Fondly remembering the time Blizzard decided that blood elves, initially designed to be more emaciated to depict a race succumbing to addiction to differentiate them from high elves, were too skinny and gave them a steroid shot during the TBC beta.
More people across WoW play Horde than Alliance. So meh.
wish we still got skinny belves
that’s why they shouldn’t have warriors, they need the Light in order to wear thick plate
