PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 1)

Probably the best way to shut up the capital g Gamers is to just make the game not suck, really.

Sure there’s some that are just in a permanent state of derangement but I’ll bet a good amount, if not a majority, are just taking whatever outlet they can get to vent (sus…) their frustrations with WoW.

i feel like the last time I made a character use /joke was sometime around 2009 so this change is completely inconsequential to me

I can honestly see where they’re coming from regarding the dreadlock joke that the Blood Elves female have.
Though I’m in the same boat as Jenit, I haven’t made a character use a /joke since… i don’t even remember when.

Yeah. He told me to tie her up and do whatever I wanted to her… so I took her stereo!” Honestly just reminds me of a bad boomer comic I saw not too long ago lmao

wait I thought sahaan was being sarcastic (or ironic, whichever is more accurate, either way not serious)

We’re currently taking his answer stereo.
As in, we’re taking it both ways.

I can’t tell… is this sarcasm?

Be nice if there were new lines to replace what’s lost but snagging the VA’s at this point is kind of beyond reasonable expectation.

True but ! Guild wars 2 has a fully voiced player character and that survived a few VA changes just fine

Think if the fully VA’d pc of gw2 can handle it im sure the 20-lines having [posterior] wow pc can handle it also

besides some of the VA lines are like really low quality/quiet that i’d actually need some updated ones to hear them better

i swear im not deaf btw

They did add a voiced /forthe(faction) later on and I don’t think those are the originals.

They aren’t. If my memory serves, they were added together with roar to, well, /roar.

Will the orc male /whoa go?

Yeah, it’s a bit jolting. The standard blood elf voice lines clash a bit with the /roar for sure.

The fact that you are a draenei male poster on the forums which have had historically some of the dumbest takes is just as likely to be part of the issue as what you described.

Also, sexism. Yikes.

Or, you know, he just took the stereo. Goblins are greedy scoundrels.

I’m glad to hear you can interpret the joke in more than two ways though! Gives it some great depth.

People have been doing that since ancient mesopotiamia and probably earlier. They didn’t get rid of it then, they won’t get rid of it now either.

Objectifying men and women isn’t inherently bad either. It depends on the context. And in this case it’s not even necessarily a joke about objectifying women (could literally just be that the goblin chose the stereo over the gal because gobbos are stereotypically mega greedy).

But, wallowing in victim mentality has made you see hidden messages and devils everywhere. Crazy life.

lay off the dark mirror + social media for a month

draenei posters are at it again

Honestly judging from the reactions and likes, I think Sahaan is an English GCSE teacher. No, “the blue curtains by the window” is not social commentary on the taiping rebellion.

Can not be called a joke by any definition of the word.
