Nine point two more like nine point poo har har
But yeah I was surprised when I heard that from Golden, I was also surprised when somebody told me that she’s not had much of a hand in writing Shadowlands at all which was a shock to me. With how much focus Sylvanas has gotten and how often she’s escaped with not even the slightest problem I fully thought it was Christie Golden’s writing given that she named her cat after her.
That poor cat.
(from the person who is going to name their next cats after Dark Souls or Bloodborne characters)
Mine is gonna be named Lord Haurchefant in honour of my absolute boy

I was going to go for Laurence, Ludwig, Gehrman etc.
And Midir, because a black cat named after Dark Eater Midir would be funny (also Midir is my favourite dragon boss in any Dark Souls)
EDIT; Also having now dealt with a dog called She-Ra, names need to be simple to spell otherwise register the animal for anything over the phone becomes a pain in the back teeth.
A unified aesthetic for a given raid/zone is normal and they don’t look like copies of each other but at this point I do expect the player base to find something wrong with any and everything just for catharsis as blizzard burns to the ground.

Speaking of the Jailer’s nipples, why does he even have them? In real life, mammals evolved nipples for breastfeeding their young. From what we know, the Pantheon of Death was created by the First Ones (we’re going to face a prototype version of it in 9.2); Zovaal was a unique being made for a specific purpose, there were no females of his species and presumably no children either.

Why is he even humanoid? Why are any of them? A soul sorter ought to have lots of arms.
With titans we at least see that they’re human shaped and make bipedal human-like constructs.
Well his are in the wrong place so that might hint at them being purely aesthetic for whatever reason, slapped together by creatures that don’t know what they’re for.
Yes I’m looking at you, alien First One art director.

This is true to an extent. All class sets have usually followed some sort of theme (i.e. tier 11, despite how wildly different those sets looked, were all connected to the Elements or Twilight’s Hammer in some way since that was the focus of the tier). The 9.2 class sets seem more in line with the raid sets we’ve gotten the past several tiers however, in that they follow the same colour scheme and overall appearance rather than theme.
I think most people would have a hard time arguing that these sets are in any way, shape or form as distinct from each other as the Antorus tier sets were (the last class set we got).

A bunch of those sets in no way screamed Legion, too.

Don’t really see why that’s relevant; they were still unique.
The antorus sets were distinct but not particularly themed to the raid itself. This new stuff is both of those things.
This is the sort of plot twist I can get behind.
Eh, disagree. Class sets should either evoke what the class is about or follow a raid’s theme imo, ideally both, while still being noticeably distinct from one another so that you can easily tell which set belongs to which class. They don’t always succeed (see the paladin T11), but I really don’t think any of the 9.2 sets scream X class unless we all play priests now.
You can’t really say “that’s definitely a mage set!” here the way you can about the obvious Kirin Tor imagery on the Antorus mage set. The mythic versions might be better (and to be fair this is just the initial reveal), but I’d rather every class set be unique from the get-go.
Meanwhile I just realised that the guild who got me the moose from Hellfire Citadel heroic back in the day, and who are still playing on AD, were called Eternitys End.
Sorry guys, you’re the enemy now.
Ion Hazzikostas: “We have tried to be ever more attentive to this subject over the last few years. I think back to a time, post-Warcraft III up to Cataclysm in particular, when a main character such as Cairne could die without this event being seen on the screen and the players not being informed directly; if you didn’t read the books then you never learned what had happened. We understand the interest in the story of our game, both through the game itself and through watching videos or reading related resources like Chronicles, but we really want to incorporate everything we do. can directly come into play, and this can take the form of a book found here or there exploring the motivations of a given character or teaching us more about his past in order to better understand who he is. However, these elements are not crucial to understanding the events taking place in-game. If you ever need to read a book outside of the game to understand a major quest or plot in the game that is World of Warcraft, then that would mean that we would have caused significant narrative disruption.”

Wish they thought that many, many years ago… or updated the non-canon books in the game or thought about that when they made Sylvanas evil-but-redeemable.

I wanted to post something resembling feedback after a while but who am I kidding they are not gonna read it lol.
Get rid of Golden
Get rid of Danuser
Demote Ion back to lead raid dev
Force devs to play their own game for a month.
Also do something else equally insane because at this point it wouldn’t matter.
