Waiting 3 expansions for the payoff to the setup that started in BfA?

Like I’m not being funny here, this is pathetic. Did he just lose his little post-it note saying “Forsaken storyline here” and no one remembered about putting a single Forsaken character? In the expansion ostensibly about exploring the afterlife, and also Arthas’/Frostmourne’s origins, and also Sylvanas as a character?
You could fill a book about just the societal response from the Forsaken alone to the revelation that (when they aren’t being Maw’d en masse), the afterlife is pretty sweet, and probably better than undeath. Instead we got nothing, not even a crumb of care into that worldbuilding.
…And that’s why dragon isles doesn’t interest me. No matter what expansion idea/concept they put in front of us, why would we believe we’ll see anything different? Wasted time. Wasted ideas. Wasted effort. It’s no exaggeration that fanfic authors are coming out with better stuff in between school/work without being paid.

At this point we can only hope Phil heeds us, gets Danuser and his entire team fired for their incompetence, butters up to Metzen and the OG team that isn’t involved with the scandal and get them back working on Wow… Or idk, have a consultant from the Community thing who gets it.
Then again… This was my last bit of hopium. The story can’t be saved so long as Danuser’s hand of Sauron is writing it.

If I am lucky i’ll forget it like I forget BfA is that one expansion between legion and shadowlands.

If it’s a case of “find him, send him to true judgment, then return and present yourself for execution”… then I’m mildly okay with it. Maybe I’m just developing stockholm’s syndrome with the story by now.

I meant his soul. He presumably ended up in the Maw like everyone else, though Zovaal never told Sylvanas as much. So assuming his soul wasn’t burnt to cinders in the forges of the Maw, there’s a Nathanos-shaped soul in need of the Arbiter’s judgment.

but since the next expac will be light-is-bad thing and pelagos looks very holy light there, it’ll be totally pelagos becoming evil while danuser meta-writes references to jailer in there to the likes of ‘see?? sure wish you had zovaal now huh?? you just had to kill him, feel bad now!!!’

I’m sorry to go on but I’ve been checking out the feedback to the Jailer’s end video and, gosh. The masses sure aren’t happy.
Like 2 years ago I ran an RP event that one person openly told me they didn’t enjoy, and I went to bed utterly distraught. Then wouldn’t rest until they’d allowed me to run another one as an apology tour.
Suffice to say, if I was Danuser after this disaster I’d be traumatised enough to be seriously considering either exile or ritual disembowelment in the manner of a dishonoured Samurai.
