Genuinely this. I know getting a new race is an exciting (or dreadful) time usually, but our customization system is so far behind what other mmos offer, it’s actually sad. I’d sacrifice a new race and a raid tier for that. Yes sliders are likely not worth expecting, but set skinny/regular/chonky/muscular types surely aren’t impossible.

I can see that happening, the people who just want to be special will play it for like a week (Possibly 2) not really doing anything but Idle/civil RP and the people who actually want it will carry on actually playing it. Same thing happened to both Allied Races and DHs

if they can make old armour from previous expansions fit on a new character model, they can change the sizes and proportions of current models
like idk there aren’t any races left that i’m really keen to have. i think we have plenty of variety and yeah it would be nice to play a broken or whatever but i don’t think i need it more than i really want just more customisation for what we have

i can’t see them implementing ogres in a way that doesn’t make them feel half cocked
like they’re not going to give us the full size ogres we deserve, so we’ll end up with something no bigger than a tauren which is just going to feel weird and uncool

Concerning yourself with what some people might do with a playable race shouldn’t be a reason to not want it
like we’ve got nonce weirdos playing humans and stuff and it doesn’t mean they should be deleted (they should be deleted for other reasons, like making room for more elves)
Also weird seeing angst about drakonids being playable to appeal to scalies when like…Sethrak were a pretty desired allied race back in BfA and they’re basically the same from a weird sex perspective.
