careful with these words around here . . .
Jokes aside, I do belief Blizzard should give the Night Elf a temporary home on Mt. Hyjal, even if its as barebones as the Forsaken one.
Afterwards they can work on a more permanent solution. Like turning Mt. Hyjal into a proper home. Same with Capital City for the Forsaken. (Are there even Forsaken Refugee NPCs in Orgrimmar?)
I still stand by my idea that they could at least turn it into relevant content similar to Firelands, where you start out the process by just updating the area and continuously adding new things to it, so it feels like you’re building the zone in real time.
That way you can just add things as you go and tinker away on it slowly, not have to worry about making an entire city immediately.
And it can be phased stuff like Darkshore, so there’s not even a problem of updating quests!!!
Sorry that’s too much effort how about we instead have Shandris make an offhanded comment about how they’re rebuilding in a side conversation that’s easily missable instead? That should be enough.
I mean, Tyrande now has that seed that she’s presumably going to plant somewhere and poof all those dead night elves back into existence.
So we’ll finally resolve that plot thread from two expansions ago any decade now!
the seed which she didn’t do anything with for 3+ years thanks to the timeskip lolol
not that anyone else did anything, if they got their dumbasses in gear they’d have Twodrassil already fully grown by now.
…I didn’t even think of that.
I swear, it feels like whenever Blizzard tries to actually sort out the lore these days, they just dig themselves deeper.
Most moved back to Lordaeron, there’s a couple glitched NPC’s still above the entrance gate though.
Can’t belief the Forsaken, who had zero love throughout BfA and SL(and hardly aby before that aswell?) have it better then the NElves
Only true if you ignore Calia still exists.
I do keep forgetting that abomination exists… Does that count?
what do you mean? don’t you like Sylvanas? doesn’t she represent all the core values of the forsaken, what you want lore about the actual forsaken? nonsense all races live through their racial leader, their lore is your lore.
who needs to develop side characters and tell stories about the population of a race when you can have all of that focused on your leader.
Me? I sure love all the development Genn and NOT the worgen is getting.
sure feel like we as a people have moved pretty far since the days of Cata.
What if we just quietly move the elves to the background and move other races to the forefront as a distraction! That way Blizzard might forget the night elves exist atleast for a few short moments and they can recover in peace. There’s no way this plan can fail.
It’s their home.
They should find a new one. Then kick out the local trolls, build a lot of towering spires, and empower their home defense systems with a magical well.
You know, reasonable stuff.
As much a fan of magical wells as I am, I do think Duskwood people staying in their home because it’s their home is ‘good’ writing.
(especially because everywhere else kinda sucks too, just in different ways)
Same reason as why there are still a lot of people living in Tornado Corridor.
