I think it’s unfair to call it Tanaan 2.0. Fyrakk is no Gul’dan.
I just want some nuance and meaningful stakes again. Granted, the game was always very hit or miss on that front but it’s jarring to play through earlier expansions and see big moments like the infamous Wrathgate and Purge of Dalaran that brought immense opportunities for role-play. That sort of thing was pretty cool, a big dragon flying around and screaming about shadow and flames isn’t, really. Especially when he accomplishes nothing of note.
I wouldn’t call 10.2 awful. I’m enjoying the Emerald Dream zone on a visceral level, being so fond of nature aesthetics in general. The story isn’t a crime against writing, it’s just disappointing.

Apparently it’s now confirmed that Ysera and Alex reunited off screen and we’re not getting to see that conversation at all.

They’re hanging out together here to deal with Gracus, but since there’s no, you know “Oh you’re not dead anymore, that’s kinda whack” conversation before or after between the two of them the only conclusion is that they already had it and we just never got to see it.
