PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 2)

Walking into Theramore as a Horde character, at any stage of the game, incurred an immediate lethal guard response and Jaina was Hostile to Horde characters.

Pretty words don’t mean much when they’re at the end of a blade.

I mean, yeah, if we’re just going to treat purely Meta mechanics as the same as canon, the whole world is extremely screwed, but hey oh :upside_down_face:

All this really repetitive back and forth aside, far more important question;
Do you think they’ll relax the “Only one Dracthyr” account restrictions? When did things change for DKs and DHs, relevant to their expacs, again?

As a race, yes. We know Dracthyr will go to other classes a bit after launch of the game.
Evokers could start at LV 10 in TWW much like they do in Pandaria Remix.

Keep it mind DKs and DHs are classes not races
and while the dracthyr and evoker are sold in the same package this change will sell them separately, so by reason you will still be locked to 1 evoker per server, but not all dracthyr will be evokers anymore.

I hope its Stormwind
only because I think it would be extremely funny.
even better actually, I hope its Gilneas.

I’d be happy with Stormwind, just because then there’s a non-zero chance of it getting rebuilt/revamped in something better than it’s current form.

Valdrakken?

Orgrimmar getting exploded after being threatened to be wiped out like 3 times would be good because the city’s layout sucks and its design is a decade and a half old in a way which utterly fails to represent the appearance of the modern Horde they want to portray.

But also yeah blow up Stormwind. Once we run out of cities they’ll be forced to give us a world revamp.

They had neutral cities in Vanilla just fine. There was zero meta/mechanics reason to make the city and Jaina hostile to Horde instead of Neutral (or even ‘Unfriendly’.) And yet, they did.

Alright, fair one. I wasn’t around back then.

My point being that the way they decided to go post WC3-early WoW was pretty stupid and, I dunno…
I’d have done it different. Done it Not Stupid :dracthyr_shrug: Oh well…

Any idea where the mage rp’ers will go now that dalaran will crash and burn?
and while it wasn’t used as much, where will the uncrowned go, their base was in dalarans smelly basement.

Maybe?

I think it’s more likely that the currently-ruined half of the city will either become our joint-faction base of operations, or infested with the Void’s invasive forces. I don’t see them ruining the restored half of the city.

Looks at Quel’Thalas

The Horde is there for you.

(On a serious note, I guess Stormwind?)

Revenge seems like a reasonable place to go.

I could make the argument it was forcefully turned into the alliances quest spot in that zone since the horde had an encampment of ogres, and the zone already had a neutral goblin quest hub

you can make the counter argument that ratchet is neutral and within the barrens with barely any quests for the alliance.

to which I could shrug and say blizzard had a brain fart.

Mages should congregate around a place awash with magic, one with minimal guards to interfere with their experiments, and easy access to Alliance, Horde, and neutral characters.

That’s right.

Duskwood.

Yes Karazan, in Deadwind Pass!

get it? the tower and the zone being barren and populated by hostile npcs will represnet the death of their hub and how aggrassive blizzard treats them with this betrayal.

If I may make a suggestion to all the wizards reading this
you should totally go squatting in Boralus.

Unhand my idea!
