They broke with kaldorei society so they get to do that, though.
Holy abominations blessed by Elune as the dead are reborn in new bodies.

Tel’arn was the taste test.
Inb4 we get Shan’dorei because they receive the honour [insert honour meme here] of being reborn through the grace of Elune and her sister.
Honoured master elves sounds like some supremacist subfaction.
And that’s exactly what they’ll end up being.
Unrealistically perfect supremacist elves? Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in any fantasy work ever!
Blizzard is nothing without predictable tropes.
It’s the Mass Effect synthesis ending all over again.
What synthesis ending? That was clearly a fever dream, BioWare writers wouldn’t seriously insert something that stupid into their game, right? …Right?
So, the Eladrin from D&D?
The new night elf home being planted in the dragon isles is very silly.
What’s sillier is all the Horde (esp. Forsaken) who will presumably end up hanging around in it because it’s going to be the new patch questing area.
Aren’t those dryads?
All I am saying is that the main enemy of the next patch is a dragon aspect of the element of fire, who will be roaming around the entire region burning things down like Deathwing in Cataclysm.
Blizzard has a chance to do the funniest thing ever.
Some people have theorised that it’s the reverse: Vyranoth is going to freeze the new tree, as foreshadowed in the most recent cinematic where she freezes a tree (and other stuff too).
See everyone would EXPECT it to get burned, but this is a SUBVERSION because it’s ice instead of fire.
checkmate elunites
A new incarnate will spawn, one of the spirit of Life and make it so over grown that it absorbs all living things nearby.
It’s truly a song of ice and fire.
a quiet voice whispers from the shadows “renewal”
I lean in close to your ear and say “Danuser sends his regards”
Don’t set my expectations so high yet so low.

bold and likely going to be wrong prediction: this won’t be the main new city for night elves nor a starting zone, it’ll just be a tree for maybe the blessings things that tie in with the oathstones stuff potentially???
(night elves will continue to stay refugees in stormwind since imagine updating your world, otherwise we’d already all be in hyjal)
I’ve just burned out when it comes to the night elf audience finding something to complain about whenever they get the spotlight, as the playable race which gets the spotlight far more than any other race over the course of the last two (or arguably three/four) expansions.
Some of these complaints might be even valid, but it’s become such a trope of the Warcraft community that I roll my eyes whenever the night elf fans inevitably find something to be angry about when it comes to the latest kaldorei-centric content.
