Brill’s innkeeper has always been a former scarlet that wanted a life of peace after her previous uh, living experiences iirc. Forsaken have always had variation like you said, it’s just that for a large chunk of Warcraft’s history their representation as a whole has mostly been S.Windrunner.
Justice for Renee
Alleria’s voice sounds very off, but the quality of the cinematic is honestly shocking. Extremely expressive characters and dialogue that feels relatively natural for once, instead of full of dramatic pauses.
The animation felt a bit janky too idk.
why did they ruin khadgar’s face/jawline

After: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GMg3JgyWYAEXU1m?format=png&name=small
These two ain’t even cousins.
He’s aging. He has a “weary grandpa” voice now.
So he got cosmetic surgery??
Twitter will no doubt be getting ready to inform everyone that Khadgar’s jaw was lost because of woke. That accursed woke, stealing our [reads notes] masculine jawlines.
I think it’s just crap animators.
I still hope to see Baine go absolutely nuts on the Kalimdor ones tho!
Retroactively, same way how your Goblin DK is Steamwheedle, and your Worgen DK is an Aragul worgen, which means it could be Lordaeronian, night elf or Dalaranian.
The Ebon Blade don’t pretend to respect freewill and will raise your corpse to slaughter your family.
The Forsaken pretend to respect freewill and will raise your corpse (against your wishes), use you to slaughter your family (pretending it was your choice), blight your farm and then turn around, cry and say Sylvanas made them do it, pinky promise (its your sisters pinky).
Edit: Guys please post less, gone for a day, 100 new posts
Your family deserved it.
Getting thinner, even in the face, comes with age.
It’ll come for you, and you, and you too!
Glad they’re bringing Khadgar back.
A good cinematic all things considered?
I don’t know, the phrase “same old Alleria, void or no void : D” when refering to dealing with an all-corrupting power really doesn’t help with not only demystifying but just wholesale undercutting the menace of the darkest powers in the setting. EDIT: Granted, it’s not out of character for Mr. cool as a cucumber Khadgar, though I never cared for his eksdee punny memery myself
I did laugh at how he kept bringing up the void like John Cleese obsessively mentioning the war.
To me it felt more like Khadgar trying to convince himself that it´s not a big deal, it´s still the same Alleria he knew, even though he knows deep down his friend is high on turbometh and is bound to eventually go off the rails.
Also, in a way it reinforces the idea of Void as something dangerous, with Alleria keeping a distance from her family because of what she has become.
And acted like an awkward teenager in a romcom about it instead of a by now respectable and elderly arch mage
yeah I miss Antonidas
You can take a dork, force-age, throw into another dimension and put them though multiple world-ending level events, but they’ll still always be a bit of a dork.
Kinda love him for that.
The characterisation is fine and good for Khadgar, felt remarkably human for two old friends in Warcraft.
The face is not. >:(
tbh it was just kind of nice to watch dialogue between characters that isn’t marred by awkwardly long, dramatic pauses
