PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 2)

The ring with five arrows around the skull could be taken to represent the five members of the Desolate Council, so there’s some symbolism there already.

Very vague and weak symbolism in that case.

I think it could have done with a little more bone on it, like the trim, but it’s perfectly fine for a Forsaken tabard.

It doesn’t have 5 layers of symbolism about the Forsaken as a people or reclaiming Lordaeron but it fits the forsaken visual style and that’s a small miracle. Gilneans are still on life support for this bizarre creation.

You see, Gilneans are werewolves, so their national symbol had to change before they turned into werewolv…

Wait a minute.

A crescent moon that’s fallen on it’s back and can’t get up, while three red tentacles sprout from it.

And strangely, I want it for my nightborne hunter

I’m keeping to the old one TYVM. You are correct that the shattered mask is better.

I always thought it looked like some unholy mix between a tardigrade and the sarlacc pit.

And their national colors are for reasons beyond anyone neon orange on dark blue (it was black in WC2).

Cut genn some slack he’s like 90 years old.

Without a royalist icon to rally around, let the Free Will fanatic Forsaken be azeroth’s first true republic.

That Forsaken tabard would honestly look better if they just cut out the skull completely. Looks naff with it.

I don’t think the weird dip in the skulls top is helping anyone.
Maybe the L should be the center icon.

Maybe it’s a baby’s skull, with the soft spot.

We are the Forsaken. We will slaughter anyone that stands in our way :baby:t2: :baby_bottle:

I oppose Republicanism!

My gnomes had to devolve back into a monarchy, those darned undead humans don’t get to have anything outside a monarchy either. :dagger:

Mekkatorque is fun and all but its weird to delve even a second into gnome politics to see its a blatant autocratic dictatorship.

On paper the high tinker role is electoral, but Mekkatorque was elected every time with as far as we know, no competitition for the past several decades. Im not even sure if they bother with the process anymore now.

Also, we know of no previous High-Tinkers etc.

Blizzard really could do with expanding gnome history/lore (and basicly every other race).

Yeah currently all we got is:

  • Mechagon ruled all gnomes 400 years ago then left.

  • Sometime after, gnomes wanted an electoral system and no monarchy.

  • Mekkatorque was elected atleast over 60 years ago if not more as he was “young”.

  • Despite it not being a true leadership title, Mekkatorque never got challenged and started dubbing himself as King of the gnomes, and all gnomes allegedly agreed.

  • We only know of a single re-election where Thermaplugg was a candidate but lost, so he caused the fall of Gnomeregan in response.

And with Erazmin as Gelbin’s obvious successor the gnomes are right back to dynastic politics.

Would look better with a cheeky smirk.

Rigged tbh. Mekkatorque has a monarch title. No way he was gonna let himself get ousted over something as silly as a democratic vote.

I’m not unconvinced the vaunted high tinker meritocratic contest is on the level of a daytime tv game show.
