Satyr imp-osters.
Gul’dan was the imp-oster
(The spell, Hand of Gul’dan, literally summons imps.)
Huh, warlock for every race was not something I had expected. At least we get Kul Tiran and Zandalar warlocks out of this.
Hoping the pet customisations are good, been something I’ve wanted for a while.
No, give me regular fire for everything. And purple fire while we’re at it.
ngl Shadowflame customization would be great, given how most Demonology spells are Shadowflame-based already and the current season is themed entirely around it.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
All classes should get multiple green fire-esque customisations.
Give mages blue and arcane fire, maybe even black ice. Give priests moonlight, let shadow priests choose between shadow-y and void-y.
(That’s where my suggestions end but imagine I listed off more cool stuff for every class)
Such is their penance.
I’m not even mad. Draenei lore has been over for years at this point.
So they’re giving warlock to lightforged but not druid to nightborne? Okay.
It feels quite odd to see Draenei and Lightforged specifically getting warlocks as it generally goes directly against their entire fantasy and identity(As they are not a species but specifically a group of a species that doesn’t do fel stuff).
But otherwise, more options are cool and overall a positivity and its nice to see more warlock options.
The pet/demon customization are long awaited and very welcome!
This is true, though.
Thal’kiel somehow looking terribly smug despite being a skull.
Personally I’m more into the idea of gnome druids in animal mech suits.
New we need to be able to replace our voidwalkers for felwalkers.
And hope for an updated Outlands Imp!
Personally I’m surprised that we’re seeing Night Elf warlocks before paladins.
Justifiable as extremists going to any damn length to punish the Horde for everything. As with dark rangers though, I’m going to have to ask for a mere spoonful of lore to go with it…
I’ll be honest I don’t see it that great as a leap considering how the Illidari recruited felheads and Demon Hunters during the TBC era as well as how Eldre’thalas was not just a recluse for mages but warlocks.
If there are Night Elves who are willing to get turned into Demon Hunters (despite the mortality rates and everything else that comes with that) why wouldn’t there be Night Elves with the same agenda (using Fel against Fel) who opt for something slightly less extreme, such as becoming a warlock instead of a Demon Hunter?
Edit: well there we go, we have a scenario showing these new combinations lmao
Seems valid to me, just weird with the dark cirus vibe when we have the entire Black Harvest to welcome these eager pupils.
“Just running this new member list by you, Player, our (long absent) leader!”
Queue the seething Monk, Priest, Rogue and Mage players who didn’t get a questline when their new combinations got added.
At least this has more meat to it than the Dark Ranger customization.
I don’t think it’s the Black Harvest, based on the quest tidbits. We’ll probably see some flavor text if we got Netherlord but the rest of the council is absent.
I wager they might show up in the conclusion/aftermath and decide to help guide the new fledgling apprentices to avoid having their souls become Dreadlord food.
However, I’d prefer they didn’t. Warlocks don’t need their version of the Silver Hand, Kirin Tor or Earthen Ring, them forming into covens and councils is the exception, not the norm. Let the weak get culled as they mess around with their grimoires and may the competent ones thrive in comparison.
Given the (spoiler) twist that it’s a scheme run by a dreadlord who has a hatred for warlocks, including the black harvest, I feel it makes sense.
Don’t really see how this leads to the new warlock races though.
“A bunch of newbies dabbled in warlockism and demons went Hellraiser mode on them. We should let more newbies do this” doesn’t really add up, but eh.
The best way to stop people doing warlocking badly is to teach them how to do warlocking goodly, clearly.
