Frankly it shocks me that so many people in various forums and comment sites are trying to justify “Paladins: The Race” being demon magic wielding warlocks. You all know it makes no damn sense. You all know it’s stupid. Just admit it and leave the mental gymnastics alone. Makes me wish I had shares in Copium production, there must be a glut in demand right now.

NEW Defy Fate Fatal attacks are diverted into a nearby timeline, preventing the damage, and your death, in this one.
So does that mean the Dracthyr of that alternate timeline is just sitting around, maybe reading a book… and then suddenly they explode in shadowflame from the main timeline?
Evokers are scary.

Sort of reminds me of Chronurgy Magic Wizards in D&D who can just “I don’t vibe with that” to enemy damage rolls a bunch of times per short rest and make them reroll.

Why the anger? Those are pretty nice first steps into a proper direction for mages, RoP removal is big.

Its not really anger; but RoP is one of the facets that made Arcane viable lately… I wonder how Blizzatd will try to make 3 speccs viable when they remove the most iconic spell for all 3, from what I understood(I just play Arcane-Mage and RoP is my main spell…)

Eventually, after a while, the brown skinned Mag’har would turn green. However the grey skinned would not. And this would still take an undetermined amount of time as it took nearly all of the Old Horde’s former shamans becoming warlocks for them to become green, and then it was still a gradual change. Fortunately there’s two warlock specs that wield arcane fire and shadow more than fel magic.
A Man’ari refers specifically to the very corrupted and usually redskinned eredar, a draenei who becomes a warlock would still be a draenei. Again, going by the warlock class, they wield more fire and shadow than pure fel.
Light and Fel mixes more than Light and Shadow, but balance priests are still a thing. Still doesn’t mean it should be a thing, though, but there is nothing inherently that would prevent them from wielding fel. The same argument could be made for Light and Arcane. And, again, most warlocks wield regular arcane fire or shadow rather than straight up fel.

Other than the QoL and new player help I’m struggling to see a single reason why, as someone who plays for the story and lore, I should be subbed right now tbh.
This patch just seems like every nu-WoW element that I despise to its core. Flippant changes in story and narrative (Infinites now being dragons from any alternate time and not a prophecy or destiny), Warlocks for everyone (utterly ridiculous, there is no possible, rational justification), a bunch of Mini-Warlords of Draenor time travelling scenarios which will no doubt also have their own lore issues and to top it all off a Nzoth bat and a shadowy artefact that appears to be doing something voidy to Galakrond in the Mega Dungeon.
I’m so tired.

They’re right. I can’t think of a single race where the race is infused with either Light or The Fel and then wields the opposite as a weapon without exploding or dying. I mean can you imagine if, oh I don’t know a race of Elves did that back in TBC? There’d be riots in the streets about the lore being violated so badly.
Oh, on the face of it this is the dumbest race/class combo ever. It is downright hilarious and I approve of the sheer memetic potential on display.
However the moment you stop and think about it? Of course the Lightforged have Warlocks. They exist as a race to fight the Legion. It makes sense that they will make any sacrifice and take up any weapon, any advantage in order to do so.

I did change things, I stopped giving them my money.
The “quit having fun” image comes to my mind seeing ppl react to warlocks for all races.

Mavericks and outcasts exist in every society.
I would definitely like to see Paladin now added to every race too. Class lore has always been zzzzz vs racial/cultural lore, Legion completely obliterated class fantasy anyway.
Light and Void.
Arcane and Fel.
Death and Life.
Though this doesn’t stop some realms co-operating with one another when it suits them. Disorder (Fel) has no problem utilising both Void and Death magic when it suits them, and this in turn play(ed) into the schemes of the Void Lords and Zovaal/Denathrius.
The Titans co-opted Holy magic as much as their own Arcane magic.
The Drust had a strong connection to Life and Death both.
Discipline priests use both Light and Void in balance.
Firim describes the cosmos as "Six realms. Many intersections. Countless fractals. "
Perhaps Blizzard are trying to make it so each of the magical forces of the cosmos can be represented by every playable race.
Death Knight (Death) Mage (Arcane/Order), Priest(Holy/Light - Shadow/Void), Warlock(Fel/Disorder).
So either Shaman or Druid for all races next? Guessing Shaman as that would require less customization over all.
