Look Elenthas canonically those are probably Humans and Orcs and both of those are just Aggramar’s extremely rowdy children.
That he isn’t paying Child Support for.

Considering we slapped him around as the second to last boss of Antorus - didn’t even get top billing! - it’s no real wonder.
I still wanna know how all the Titans together, as a pantheon, got killed by Sargeras though. Were they even trying? Did they do any preparation? Embarrassing.
They are allergic to Fel, so severely weakened when a Fel-infused Sargeras slapped them around, destroyed their bodies and snatched their souls out of the Warp.
On another note:
Wardens control the Cathedral of Elune on the Broken Shore.
Wardens.
Night Elves
404 character not found.
ahahaha they got killed by magic hayfever
It bores me how many of these are just “AND THEN EVERYTHING IS HAPPY, FIXED, AND NOTHING BAD HAPPENED EVER AGAIN.”
Probably the most funny is the idea that House Proudmoore turned over the Ashvane factories to a socialist “worker collective” lmao be absolutely for real.
They did confirm back in Shadowlands that the Old Gods are dead in the mortal understanding of the word, but death is a fundamentally mortal concept that doesn’t apply to extraplanar beings. Their physical forms are dead, but they “live” on in a third, worse kind of way (they didn’t elaborate what this means).
I assume it means the traditional “This being must be killed in its native dimension for it to be truly vanquished” in which case only N’Zoth is dead dead. We see Yogg-Saron’s presence is still “alive” in Ulduar back in Legion, even though we killed his physical body.
It doesn’t change = bad.
It changes = bad because I don’t like it.
Do you guys even know what you want? Thalyssra and LTT don’t even visit Amirdrassil cause of the bad blood between NEs and the Horde, so they can’t visit without an offering of Gifts to Tyrande and Malfurion
Mostly I’d like some of the changes they make in these books to show up in game in some way.
I’d like not everything to be settled immediately. Maybe some suggestion that not everything is solved. Crumbs of discord.
“The druids and shamans have cleansed much of the fel from the Broken Shore but now life is mutating wildly, with new monstrous species emerging.”
“Black Rook Hold has been cleansed of its spirits, but its now occupied by a cruel pirate lord, establishing himself on the bones - and artifacts - of the dead.”
“The Vault of the Wardens recaptured all the lost prisoners, but weakened infrastructure and lower numbers are causing no end of trouble.”
“Ashvane’s loss created a money and power vaccuum, with numerous robber barons from otherwise minor houses rising to take her place as the new economic force of Kul Tiras. House Proudmoore has been unable to keep them in line, for fear of looking like the very tyrant they ousted. Fears of a proxy civil war between private armies grow by the day, especially with their absentee Lord Admiral.”
“Proudmoore Academy has seen a massive influx of new recruits, causing a loss of manpower elsewhere in the nation. The economic wheels of Kul Tiras are grinding slower in the face of increased militarisation, with some muttering that they were safer and happier when closed off from the Alliance and their ‘tithe’ of soldiers.”
“The Hexbane Coven has been routed and vanished from Drustvar. Strangely, a number of children in drustvar born since have had strange, arcane birthmarks on their skin.”
“Mechagnomes are now offering optional mechanisation to their fellow gnomes. Some whisper that the ‘upgrades’ are still not quite so optional, and rumours abound of disappearances. With Gelbin so distant from Mechagon, there are growing voices for Prince Erazmus to take his father’s crown after all.”
You get the idea.
Though I guess they did at least give us this
Prior to the events of The War Within, the Pillars of Creation were removed from the Tomb of Sargeras and placed back on their altars in Dalaran. Their current status is unknown.
whoops, lost all the pillars of creation again
I get what you mean, and I know why uou want updates like, I would like that to as that gives people reasons to RP in those area’s still(not like people won’t make up said scenario’s to be able to RP there anyways), but alas this is what we got.
And atleast we still got the NElves not being friends with the Horde as a thing thats going on.
Yea, thats usually what happens when you blow a floating, magical, city out of the sky. On that same note, I doubt they know where most artifacts ended up aswell. Weren’t those stored in Dalaran aswell?
Counter argument: Kul Tiras is the most based nation and them having recovered from the war + rebuilt + preparing for a new war is exceptionally based (I’m a Kul Tiran RPer and the book feeds my favouritism)
But also in the context of the actual book (ignore incredibly trimmed down version on wowhead) everything isn’t just back to normal. Corlain’s being resettled, but the reality itself is still saturated from the mass sacrifice that took place there to rip open a rift to Thros. Its touch lingers, and people are likely to be dealing with nightmares and haunting phenomena for years to come — Lor’themar notes that he’s not sure if it’ll ever truly recover, because it reminds him too much of Dead Scar.
Although the Coven is gone, there’s explicit mention of hexed animals still roaming the woods, which led to the Embers launching a campaign to destroy all Drust ruins they can find to prevent the next generation of witches making contact with Thros — because their cursed remains still linger, and the threat will persist.
Shrine of the Storm, Sagehold and Stormsong Monastery have been purged of Old God influence, but it’s still described as having an eerie haunting atmosphere, and the Tidesages are still wary around the places because of the lingering echo.
Brennadam’s been rebuilt, but the people are touched by the scars of war forever, and they refuse to forgive the Horde. Kul Tiras has rebuilt its navy and is training a new generation of cadets, and they’re ready for a new war because they see it as a necessity to be ready to defend themselves — and Katherine lets Lor’themar know this to send an unspoken threat to the Horde Council that Kul Tiras is watching. If they break the armistice, they’ll be sailing for Durotar again. The scars of war are still so prevalent in their cultural zeitgeist almost 10 years later (let alone the last 40) that it still shapes their lives. Although they signed the armistice and abide it, as a nation they will never forgive the Horde. Not for the Second War, not for Daelin in the Third, and not for the Fourth. They are ready for the Fifth.
Also it’s less that the Proudmoores just “gave” the factories to the workers and more the Great Houses confiscated Ashvane’s assets and sold them off, and the factory workers pooled their resources to buy their own factory back. Without corrupt Ashvane middlemen stealing from in-between, industry is bound to get more productive. Corruption causes inefficiency.
You know I’m starting to think the Argent Crusade is maybe just extremely competent and has some sort of Mandate of Heaven compared to everyone else on Azeroth.
They were mobilized and repelling the Legion at the Broken Shore long before anyone else was even ready.
They were mobilized and repelling the Jailer’s forces and Scourge in Shadowlands from second one.
They managed to unite the Horde and Alliance in a mutual endeavor.
They managed to cleanse an “uncleansable” land.
Maybe we should just give them the pillars. Also they have securely locked away hundreds of evil artifacts successfully!
Argent Crusade doesn’t get the credit it deserves as an organisation.
Instead we get cheap knock offs like the Tyr’s Guard, The Silver Hand(not the order, which make it basicly a cheap rip off from the knock off), the Blood Knights, the Vindicators etcetc.
If they’d kept hold of Stratholme I’d maybe agree, but they lost it like 3 times since Vanilla. I think they might have it again now, but that could change if Blizzard decide to put another pet battle quest there.
I won’t hold “couldn’t stop the Deathlord” against them at least. Don’t wanna be unfair about it.
Yeah this is kinda what I’m talking about though.
“Some mildly dangerous animals are still in the woods” isn’t exactly getting my creative juices flowing for new storylines. Hexed animals weren’t ever portrayed as anything more dangerous than any other random aggressive animal. There’s no drama to be found here, any moreso than bears in the woods of Elwynn forest.
Neither is “this building is a bit spooky, but also every single Old God guy is dead, we perfectly killed them all, and no one innocent was caught up in this purge” very inspiring.
I know Jaina has first hand experience purging things and maybe this time she’s better at identifying when not to murder innocents but it just comes across as a bit shallow in how its written.
The best I can assume is that the writers (Thalyssra/Lor’themar) are simply wrong. They said they purged them all, but actually the Old God cultists simply reintegrated in secret, as cultists tend to do.
Hopefully that means they’ll do something aggressive like the Stromics did, but it is diminished a bit by us basically knowing the focus of the next in-game 5 years of storylines, and they’re not going to involve Kul Tiras doing another ethnic cleansing on the Echo Isles.
It’s fancy sabre rattling and I’m happy for you that it gets your Kul Tiran Supremacist flag flying, but no one demilitarised in the wake of Shadowlands/DF (might actually be interesting if one subfaction did honestly), so them going “we’re ready for the Fifth War” isn’t really that notable. Everyone else is too!
I know expecting in depth socio-economics from Warcraft is kinda silly but like…the rich and powerful are fine with that? They don’t feel threatened of a potentially successful worker collective showing up? No Pinkertons?
Like I said, it just feels a bit shallow. There’s no tension.
And lest you think I’m just focused on the Alliance side, I think it’d be good if the vrykul of Stormheim were having issues with the Nightborne pushing out of their borders instead of them just being pleasant neighbours.
[fingers crossed]
it’s been too many expansions without the mandatory Troll Patch where we go teach them a lesson
I’d say it’s more of a treat for the masses. Decades of lawlessness and oppression somewhat compensated, and they’d need someone skilled to keep the factories from falling apart… like the lesser houses, or even Proudmoore themselves.
They were also the first to respond to the Dark Portal opening in the TBC prepatch (while also being occupied in the plaguelands).
I think you might be onto something.
And back to the issues of Kul Tiras, the Crucible of Storms seems to still belong to N’Zoth. An opportunity to exploit, indeed…
D’aaaawww, I rather liked the classic take on witches (actual hags dabbling with dark magic) roaming Drustvar. I’d hoped they might reappear in the future, what with the ongoing fight between them and the Embers being referenced at the Trade Post, but new lore supercedes that I suppose.
no telaryn mon no…please mon im just a silly little witch doctor no…
