I like the recolours, though why go with half of them being the TBC recolourings and the other half not?

I would’ve liked an upgraded purple judgement set.

And while I like the hunter’s recolour. I did really like the muted green and red from TBC. So much so that before I got the evoker set, I was using it on Leo.

It does explicitly say the the story splits… but then uh… I guess it still just says you’re tagging along with danath and faerin despite the split which is odd.

I really don’t understand why the Horde perspective in this narrative was given to the AU Mag’har, who have nothing to do with the lore of the zone whatsoever. If they wanted to write a campaign about the history between the orcs and humans in Arathi, they needed the MU orcs to do it. They’re the ones who actually invaded it during the Second War, who remember Doomhammer’s death and the internment camps. The orcs from alternate Draenor just don’t bring anything to the table here.

Looking at Heartlands, I suppose they wanted a point-of-view faction who didn’t participate in the Second War to make Marran, the villain, more transparently irrational. This want of a ‘clean slate’ is probably also why the Defilers make zero appearances in the novella, despite being based out of Hammerfall since Classic, but I’ve just seen those leaked horses and will be shooting hopium.
