PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 3)

She just seems to be a minor Void entity who tried to play with the Big Boys? Lorewalker Cho’s story seems to imply she actually might not be related to the Void whatsoever but uh… the evidence of my eyes is kind of begging to differ on that one.

I like that he made his Zoom window the biggest.

Now we need to hope that it isn’t a bug that you get reverted back to BfA.

as i said, this patch may actually be the most comedic thing in a long while. holy lmao

just cannot stop farming aura

I think it might be time for Cho to retire to be honest.

He’s lost his edge.

Worth noting in terms of Strom phasing: This exact same similar issue came up with Tirisfal suddenly gaining several phases and to this day is not fixed because you will still just be kicked between multiple phases at the will of God.

It might be worth genuinely making a post about this regardless. It was never fixed for Tirisfal, there’s no reason to believe it’ll be stable here either.

I wont be posting this in the bug section.

Anything is better then Warfront Strom, ngl.

She’s the Harbinger of Dimensius, who also manifested as a big scary warlock summon back in the Burning Crusade.

The Wowhead description makes it seem like she’s launching an attack on N’Zoth’s turf with an army of spooky voidwalkers, so I do think that she’s likely still tied to the Void. It’s just that Warcraft is now differentiating between the “true” Void that Xal’atath represents, and the corruption of the Old Gods.

I thought we were passed character assassinations like this. Man’s both a Trollbane and spent most of his adult life fighting orcs (including being stuck on Outland doing that for decades), bore witness to how the Mag’har were perfectly willing to start another genocide war when one of them was the Warchief and it felt like this was acknowledged with his behavior in BFA.

Now he’s spending Warcraft Christmas with Eitrigg and then militantly defending the Horde while belittling his own culture. This is baffling.

Scarlet Regent Turalyon up to his old tricks again. He did it with Gilneas. He did it with Stromgarde. He missed his chance to do it with Dalaran, but I’m sure it would’ve been next on his list if Xally hadn’t blown it up.

Kul Tiras or Stormwind are next.

Turns out insurgent forces are really difficult to handle when you don’t know who they are, they don’t wear colours at all times. A defias removes a bandana, throws it in a river and you’ll never know who they were.

Idea that any Force would be easily able to quell a movement like this is kinda silly, sillier even when we’re still in pseudo medieval lands, there’s no border controls, at best there’s occasional patrols.

I could believe that if they weren’t all in uniforms and tabards of their respective factions. I guess the Marran Loyalist Citizens aren’t but the actual groups are all loudly flashing their symbols and iconography, Joseph is even rocking around Strom in full Scarlet regalia.

They’ve even made lil’ badges to wear for it all.

Sure when you’re out there fighting. But before the explosive uprising, and shortly after. We also see the Arathi Refugee gimmick, even if a little silly that Hammerfall would just take so many humans in.

I almost expected her Void form to just be feet at this point. Would at least been a little funny.

To note; Brewston says the majority of Stromgarde still supports Danath, the Marran supporters are a loud minority.

Also the Alliance was sending supplies to support the kingdom through its poor harvest, but they were being ambushed repeatedly.

It’s so over, it’s never been more over than it is now

I’m glad they clarified the Black Empire was run by a council and not an evil surge of insanity and madness.

Can’t run a clean business without a council.

“The Black empire was at constant war with each other vying for each others territories.”
The black empire: “okay so guys we had a good meeting last week good meeting I really liked C’thun’s proposal for more pillars made of the sacrificies I think it’d be great for faceless morale. Unfortunately we’re gonna have to downsize N’zoth’s incense budget…yeeeeah. So-…N’zoth you. Your zoom has the uh. Cat filter on again. Can you just turn-…okay great wonderful.”

It’s amazing what damage one ill-conceived cutscene can do to the setting.

Because apparently now Brokers used to be Ethereals or rather what Ethereals (and now Brokers) used to be before Dimensius tore K’aresh apart…

I just can’t with this… Leave my mummies alone.

I posted this and 3 hours later my abject horror was made reality because not only are they relevant, they’re now super relevant because apparently they’re another race from K’aresh, or were Ethereals in life, or both. I- Can we-- Can we like… make it so people from the afterlife can’t just randomly keep teleporting to Azeroth, please? Its so utterly jarring, I don’t want to think about it.

Nor am I really excited by the prospect that I’m going back to the Shadowlands in 11.2 but this time with the Void as well. Please God just get this cosmic slop over with I’m so tired of divinity having a personality.
