Damn, there’s another joke I’m not allowed to make…
Me when my Wife betrays her promise, her cause, her faith and her possibility to have a normal life just because we got outnumbered and she couldn’t wait for my Divine Storm to come off cooldown.
is that turalyon or who is that?

I don’t like that the elf eyes are so human.
Also it didn’t really tell me anything new storywise, but it’ll serve as a good primer for anyone coming into TWW without having played Legion or really knowing about Alleria before, which is probably what it’s for.
It was a pretty damn cool animated short. It could’ve done without the “soldier of Azeroth” thing at the very end (sorry, that comes across too hard as Baine’s FOR THE SHADOWLANDS) but yeah, pretty neat. Wouldn’t mind seeing more of this sorta stuff.
Damn, where is that from? The same thingie as the seeming second war thing?
a perfectly cromulent animation
Thats Azerothian HMP’s for you(Azerothian Human Male’s in general).
Its peak Alpha-Human, you might not like it as a Sigma-Elf boi, but its how it is…
Also, while I do understand they anoyance about LTT’s appearance in this clip, its literally… 1 second and they needed something to make him appear recognisable. Personally I have no problem with it, and if they ever make a animated show in this form, I’d watch the hell out of it(if the story/writing is good, obviously)
Honesty, that is not too bad an animation I think, even if Turalyon does look like a tank
Also thread, just let me respond to meronspell more than once without trying to berate me
They really want this guy to be a Space Marine.
The character models in this animation seriously lacks consistency in the faces but maybe that’s just me. Didn’t vibe at all with the Anime levels of slaying vast swaths of enemies after a power up.
All and all, serviceable with some irksome bits.
I don’t really see that, it looks like he walks upright to begin with, then enters some sort of crouch when approaching. But you’re right though, he could very well be exhausted before coming this far.
I think the cinematic might make more sense when viewed within the storyline it belongs to.
One thing I did like in that cinematic is how Khadgar doesn’t waste too much time monologueing, but straight up tries to obliterate her. And okay, he fails, but still, it was nice to see.
his shadowy appearance before he enters the Violet Citadel appears to be limping, then he goes into a very crouch like walk, which does not neccesarily looks limping, to me…
Obviously it will probably make more sense in the grand scheme of things, like the questline before it! Probably has “Drenden” protecting the Violet Citadel(because lets trust someone who has been AWOL for 20 years) and Khadgar noticing something iffy with it all during the battle!
Either way, as far as Xal’atath and Void shenanigans concern, weren’t the Highborne of Shen’dralar the primeur researchers of everything Void magic related?(as per Wrathion, Legion and BFA questlines)… So why would Xal’atath go to Dalaran(who probably have the most Fel and Arcane research) instead of Eldre’thalas? You telling me that, even after their library burned down, everyone who wanted to know anything Void(which was just Wrathion and the adventurers) was drawn there, when Dalaran apparently had a bigger library/research/whatever on it?
Because unlike Eldre’thalas Dalaran is the Justice League of Azeroth’s helicarrier. She’s there not because she needs to know something that she’s infinitely more informed about than anyone on Azeroth, but to sabotage and nuke the mage capital before it can be used as a staging ground again.
Blizzard challenge: make an expansion that doesn’t involve the Windrunners (impossible)
I would not go that far, although some dabbled in void magic, it was not the major focus or seemingly widespread. This is the literal quote of Wrathion.
References to the Old Gods are vague and oblique, existing only as archaeological footnotes from a time before the Sundering. Even the Shen’dralar, adept in the arcane arts as they were, could not completely unravel the intricacies of the Black Empire’s dark magic. Yet a few of them did dabble in the Void, and the lessons they learned grant me hope that N’Zoth’s own power can be wielded against him.
Not to mention the damage the Horde did on the collections of Eldre´thalas, it seems that most was destroyed.
Dalaran would also be a better place if you want to wreck one of the current magical centers of Azeroth, and it would contain more magical power to steal with the dark heart vs an almost empty ruin.
It’s a shame that it had to be about the Windrunners, but I guess it’s necessary for them to provide a quick video about Alleria, considering that the majority of her lore can only be found in books.
As something designed to quickly catch people up on her lore, it does the job adequately. Nice to look at too, not a bad animation at all. Though they didn’t need to feature Sylvanas quite as much as they did.
7/10, I guess. Enjoyable for what it is, even if I’d prefer something else.
That video was pretty awful to watch. The oneliners, like the one similar to the Demon Hunters in Legion. (I SACRIFICED EVERYTHING!) The big girlboss energy all the way through. The random gain of super saiyin void power because of the power if you believe it hard enough. Abandoning Turalyon on a rock in void space. Turalyon looking like a fridge. Windrunners losing their sister bond over a tree falling dramatically in between them. Horde and Amani Trolls looking like weak cannon fodder.
Basically this sets up Alleria as the new void Illidan. The new girlboss anti hero.
This scene is taken straight from A Thousand Years of War, she’s already been practising with the powers of the Void for a bit by this point.
This is straight from the A Thousand Years of War too.
Accurate to some of his art.
I mean, this is just a representation of the divide grown between the pair by the Second War and their choices during it.
As opposed to? When the high elves got their act together they slaughtered the Horde and Amani left in Quel’Thalas following Gul’dan’s desertion.
