PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 3)

I did not listen to that audiobook.

Also, there’s no mention of Vereesa at all. I read elsewhere that according to the lore they gave their child Arathor in Vereesa’s care but instead it’s given to a random elf?

‘Random elf’ is honestly an accurate description of Vereesa, in my opinion. Definitely the least engaging of the three sisters, unless you’re one of those people who find generic high elves extremely interesting and appealing.

The random elf with Vereesa’s armour, Vereesa’s hair colour and general hairstyle, who makes the same promise as Vereesa does when given Arator. And that is also voiced by Vereesa’s voice actress.

It might just be Vereesa.

theres usually a ven diagram overlap with these people on twitter and “Id smash Sylvanas” people

I struggle to understand why anybody is upset about Vereesa’s ostensible absence in TWW.

Sure, it looks odd that the Silver Covenant’s leader has left them to get milk. But it’s not as if anybody has ever thought ‘you know which character would have been really interesting to see interact with this scenario? Vereesa Windrunner.’

90% of the time, if I see her name mentioned, it’s by somebody talking about Valeera Sanguinar who’s gotten them confused.

When you remember she’s definitely coming back for Midnight they did :sunglasses:

They did give it a slight redesign, in fairness.

man you’re gonna love dragonflight

You should. A Thousand Years of War and The Tomb of Sargeras are honestly some of the best external storytelling Blizzard has produced, despite (or maybe because of) it being audio only.

There are also text versions.

Blizzard doing so without once again retconning a Windrunner’s personality and motivations (ultra impossible)

Sticking to “Void’s messing with her memories” to explain every inconsistency.

Alleria’s new model is using the beta tbc fembelf animations. Bit of a throwback eh. Bit of a harsh juxtaposition from VOID RANGER too.

I do hope Alleria eventually gains a more permanent Void-looking vibe. Pristine white armour, peachy skin and blonde hair doesn’t really go with the narrative they’re aiming for.

Or at least, that’s my take. And I’ll cease derailing now.

I think it’s supposed to represent the internal battle between light and dark going on inside of her. It’s easier to do that with a lot of black-and-white contrast than it was with her old ranger outfit. The void get-up is for her eventual corruption and when she’s well and truly a servant of the Void.

Her new outfit looks like something Tyrande would wear. She’s giving Priestess of Elune realness.

It hasn’t even started yet that it’s full of inconsistencies and retcons. Nothing Shadowlands levels so far so  for small mercies.

I feel bad cuz people are bashing Vereesa here but I like her the most out of all three Windrunners cuz she is the only one that remained normal, she raised her lil’ cousin while she was basicly still a kid herself, she lost her husband to the Horde, but she’s still there for her kids (even if one is showing signs of bieng pro-Horde).

Her story is just… the story of the average person on Azeroth surrounded by all those superpowered heroes, leaders and adventurers.

Let’s not start this again.

Comparatively yes, and it’s also why I appreciate her.

I made a thread specifically for that!
