I mean, is anyone really surprised that Blizz would monetize housing in some way? Rest of the mmos monetize it too (idk about gw2 and lotro).

I was downright expecting it. Remains to be seen just how outrageous it’s gonna be, though.

ATM id say its minor at best. they release the odd housing decoration pack but 95% of the best Deco’s are ones you make ingame yourself. Theres no unlocking extra areas in your house (swtor ptooey), you get the entire area jsut for playing the story, no gold cost, no rl money (eso ptooey), no lottery (xiv ptooey). overall their systems pretty good and fair so far

GW2 does sell some (Very few) housing items on the store, but I support it there, as there is a key difference between GW2 and WoW. One of these does not have a monthly subscription! And they gotta make money somehow.

Yeah, just to be clear, I’m not defending blizz doing it, rather saying everyone should have expected them to. Because it’s blizzard. Most other mmos are easier to forgive for the reason you’ve mentioned.

Oh neither am I, don’t misunderstand. I agree whole heartedly that Blizzard are absolutely greedy rats for having an ingame store while also having a Monthly Sub. Imo it should be one or the other. Never both.

Also Void Elf Paladins might as well be confirmed as being added soon. Maybe even on release, if not on a .5 or .7 patch. Presumably other races too?

Just few more new race/class combos and Alliance will achieve parity with Horde.

Also, I guess Quel´Thalas and Zul´Aman (Or have we abandoned the “if it has vibes of a faction, it´s focus of that faction” we had in TWW with Arathi and Earthen?) are just neutral focus because Alliance exists or something.
