PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 4)

Yea, can you imagine antagonizing the people who came help defend your kingdom, haha. Crazy thought, right? /s

Except here its reversed, the people coming to defend you is also antagonizing you.
but I suppose Night elves have experience with that both ways. :dracthyr_hehe:

Can you blame 'em, when said defenders spend their days patrolling the streets, confiscating produce from innocent fruit vendors?

Also, neat. A vegetarian replacement for meat reagents in cooking. Though I fear that this could be abused somehow, if you can just use Plant Protein in the place of rarer meat reagents, and that the market will just be flooded with vegetarian food because it’s cheaper and more time-efficient to produce.

… Wait, is this social commentary?

I can tell you that we as players are send to help the civilians, so no idea why the guards have to be rude to me, the person, helping them, smh??

Listen here you dried up, bald, gecko! We Night Elves have only been the victims! :man_mage:t2::kitchen_knife:

Thats pretty dope! Although I don’t think its really needed, its pretty cool they think about the people who want to RP vegetarians! So its a nice addition!

Yep. So much of the victims that your military outpost is still standing on the Krasarang coast… Which is still better than Lion’s Landing or Domination Point, so you’re fine for now.

The world has been the night elves victim since the last time you had a queen

And the only reason that the night elves got a Queen? Trolls.

And which faction has the OG trolls? The Horde.

So in the end we’re back to blaming the Horde :stuck_out_tongue:

Until Blizzard says their a Haranir offshoot anyway

Haranir are the true, superior trolls, all other trolls are “lesser trollkind,” Zandalari included.

I just want to see them say that in any Zandalari’s face. And what would happen next.

If they’re so superior how come they don’t hang out with Krag’wa the Huge?

Unless the texts missing something they don’t seem to saying they consider themselves trolls, just they consider trollkind ‘lesser’ and ‘children’.
‘when trollkind were in their infancy’ kinda indicates they consider themselves entirely seperate.

If they are trolls they certainly have the arrogance down, but they don’t seem to consider themselves trolls going by that text.

Knowing Blizzard, the Zandalari would try to befriend them.

Does it? We talk about early H. sapiens in much the same way. (Apparently Blizzard doesn’t want me to spell out the genus name in full).

Yes, it does.
They’re not talking about a troll sub race but trollkind entire. We probably wouldn’t say, to a completely different species, ‘when humankind was in their infancy’ unless we just wanted to confuse people.

Granted it’s probably blizzard being awful at writing but they are talking as if they don’t consider themselves a part of trollkind.

Their loss, then. Trolls have built the first and biggest empire since the days of the Old Gods, while the harronir… chilled in the roots? Truly, the peak of thought and evolution.

Ok say wait.

Trollkind predates both the Black Empire and the Titans and were (are?) the oldest native race… but somehow, someway, the Harranir predate all of that.

Did jack all when the Old Gods put their tentacles in Azeroth, when the Titans ordered the world they didn’t do anything either. Then the trolls thrived, expanded, evolved and became superior to the Harranir. Then the Legion came, and still the Harranir did nothing, the world was Sundered they chilled and then everything else happened and still they slouched below the crust.

I think the Horde and Alliance should work together to purge Azeroth of the Harrinar.

EDIT: my elf character will shake the hand of any troll that beats a Horrinar. Same for my troll with elves.

Chilled in the roots and didn’t even stick their heads up to see what was happening when some of those roots started becoming the biggest campfire on Azeroth.

Or when some of the roots dipped into old god juice

I’m not sure about predating the Black Empire, but they’re certainly as old as the Scouring and the arrival of the Titanforged.

You also forgot to mention that they foresaw all of those cataclysmic events which they did nothing to prevent, during their journey to Harandar, tens of thousands of years before the present day.

That’s assuming they knew what those prophecies meant, where and when they would take place and if they were going to transpire at all (and if they were to happen - how would the news even reach them?)

I don’t think I’d be convinced I could do much about any of them at all either if I was a Haranir. Heck, I’d have a job to maintain! I can’t just run out and save the world because some poem that was written how-many-thousands-of-years-ago.
