As title says, are we allowed to pull Garr without his adds? Ive seen a few videos of people doing this tactic and before we change ours I wanted to know if this is allowed? Just dont fancy getting myself and 39 other people banned.
If you can do it, you’re allowed it, if it’s unintended they will fix it eventually.
Why would you need to cheat at it since its easy enough as it is, even without any warlocks

Yeah… that worked out well for those exploiting layering. Just because you can do it, doesn’t mean it’s allowed.

An entire guild got banned for trying to be clever in AQ40. I would proceed with caution.

KeK, that was 15 years ago while it was current content being patched.
If you really need that, you suck big time.
We tank the adds with a couple of tanks and locks and we kill garr first.
Never had a problem with him.
No need at this point Garr can be done with no problems even in pugs. And don’t deny the locks the ONE job they have in MC… well that and spamming the same Shadow Bolt over and over.
Hoe can you even compare those.
One is using your abilities to pull a boss solo, while the other one required an entire guild to modify their game files…
It’s probably more-so about speed than it is about execution.

They went in and changed the game files in the install folder. It’s quite different.
I think a closer example to addless Garr is the guild that got banned for using grenades on the HC LK encounter in Wrath; even though that was accidental.
Yepp, but they only got a week suspension.
Why would you even need to do that? All the adds can be tank by a single war while the whole raid burst Garr.
That is probably more difficult to do though. The tank would need to switch targets all the time, and take a lot of damage.
In my guild tanks still die all the time and were pretty good (MC <2h, almost never wipe on Onyxia).
Hand him a Force Reactive Disk and put some mitigation gear on him. There’s no raid damage and Garr doesn’t hit hard, so most healers can focus on that OT.
Garr is burned down. By the time its time to kill adds/sons the OT will have generated so much threat that your casters simply can AoE down the adds.
Much easier than focusing 4+ tanks, banishing, running out and so forth. Try it m8 =)

you can stand on buildings on top of neutral towns and bombard players down below, you will get warned followed with a ban if you still do
sometimes things are just un-fixable without creating more issues so they just say NO and ban people.
