So, as we’ve been told, season 3 will not have Puzzling Cartel Chips for LFR. I am absolutely disappointed and confused by this decision. Season 2 had them, so why not now?
It’s the last season of the expansion, so it would be nice if everyone could participate and not be excluded. It seems very elitist to me.
What are other people’s thoughts on this? Am I the only one who feels this way?
You most definitely are not. I think this a stupid decision and pretty much will just make me not play alts meaning I’ll play the game less in the end.
However I do kind of expect them to change it, either before TB or in the first week.
I really don’t understand their thinking with this at all. Last time we had the thing with oh no you can’t have mythic level unless you kill the boss and now this time we have no LFR. It’s the last season before Midnight. What is their problem.
Take up two new quests to earn Puzzling Cartel Chips by defeating 4 raid bosses in Normal difficulty or higher from Manaforge Omega or completing 4 Mythic0 dungeons. Completing the one time only quest Turbo Boost: Trade Must Flow will reward players with 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips and the weekly quest Turbo Boost: Infinite Growth will reward 1 Puzzling Cartel Chip. Players will be able to earn a maximum of 9 Puzzling Cartel Chips per character.
Tbh, do LFR only raiders really need the higher ilevel upgrade?
Its rare to find an LFR only raider who actually cares about gear or progression. clearly they are just super casuals.
Personally i would add it in, but this way, guilds will be incentivized to do guild raids just to get those chips, rather than have people just wing it in LFR.
I think that any player, regardless of how casual they are, would like trinkets that aren’t lame and/or boring, or weapons with cantrip effects. Veteran-track versions (Like the LfR-drops) don’t cut it, when even casual players can get full champion (Or if they farm Delves a bit, hero-track) items already.
It’s not as if giving three hero-track items from the raid is game-breaking (Not at this point in the season, anyway), but it’s fun though.
All this prodding and pushing to get people into normal+ raiding just doesn’t work, never did, a handful of people will buy a boost, but most people will just ignore it (And be a bit more disgruntled than before), the one result of all these “Let’s make players step up”-attempts is proving that players will sooner walk away than “Step up”…
Even stepping into four M+1s gets you these cartel chips and if you are not doing even 4x base mythic dungeon weekly, what do you need this items for is my question? You can still get the LFR versions of these items…
Guess the inability to complete the quest in LFR is less of an issue than presented.
I really hoped they would’ve gone the DF s4. You could get whatever you wanted and could upgrade it as high as you were able to, and if you didn’t need anything specific you could use the tokens to buy the raid appearances.
