I’m often playing high enough to be seen on streams when I push 3s, and soloq well, easy to see which spec I care about, so… that was very stupid a thing to say. Very.
Also I’m not defending anything, but I despise idiots who cry and lie without rven understanding the things they talk about. Sub is too strong BECAUSE it kills through several layers of defensives. It really doesn’t without it. And the thing is, it has Shadowblades and Duel and Smoke and Blind on a cooldown shorter than trinket because of CDR, so you can quickly create a checkmate situation with Shadowblades up, and nothing to answer it which results in a kill.
That’s really the one reason Sub’s broken. Certainly not because it oneshots every Kidney despite having no CDs. But as I said, prove me wrong, /w me in game, log a Rogue, and try to 100-0 me alone without CDs DURING the stuns. We’ll have a good laugh.
See, you don’t understand Sub at all. Shadowblades could deal ZERO damage it would still be OP.
Since you do lack that knowledge (and yet talk so much), I’ll explain. The only interesting effect of Shadowblades is thr fact that it fills your Combo Point bar with each finisher because that allows Sub Rogues to use Eviscerate with 7 CPs every second global. As in: Cheap, Evis (7CP), Sepsis, Sectec (7CP), Cheap, Evis (7CP), Cheap, Evis (7CP). And few specs can live 3 Eviscerates + 1 Sectec with Badge and everything.
But when you do not have Shadowblades you need to use 3 builders just for one 7 CP finisher. Typically if you go without Shadowblades it’ll look like that: Cheap, Evis (5 to 7 CPs depending on if you had points before), Shadowstrike (grants 5 thanks to Premeditation), Evis (5CP), Cheap, Shadowstrike, Cheap, Evis (5-6 CPs depending on rng luck with Shadow Technique procs during the stunlock).
So on one side you have:
- 3x 7CP Evis
- 1x 7CP Sectech
And on the other you have, ON HIGHROLLS with everything going perfect, no disruption, no one else to CC:
- 1x 7 CP Evis
- 1x 6 CP Evis
- 1x 5 CP Evis
The damage is just not comparable at all (btw so it’s clear 7 CP Evis is the same as 5 CP Evis buffed by 40%, 6 by 20%). And not enough to kill anybody, which is totally normal as well.
