Pvp gear should not scale in warmode

I see no issue with it. War mode is for people who want world pvp and if you don’t have pvp gear in a pvp enviroment I guess it sucks to be you.

so you agree then that everyone who pvps should be rewarded for minimum work?
that in pvp there should never be a goal to strive for in inprovement of gear so you can feel forfilled that you actualy worked to get your equipment.
Why should someone who spent more time in mythics dungeons and rep grind to get a higher item lvl be less worth then someone who spent 2 hours in bg farming in the open world

Pvp gear is worthless in pve. You get your pve gear for pve. You will never be bad in pve with pve gear but will with pvp. If you wanna play pvp - go play 2 hours on bg and do pvp. Warmod is pvp mode. Its ok that pvpers are stronger in pvp mode. Just turn it off and they will never bother you.

i agree. i dont like this scaling mechanics. I´m a friend of united Concepts. But then u need to make the PvE and PvP item level the same and give PvP players harder systems/content (in instance and open world) which is almost similar to the difficulty degree of mythic dungeons/raids. Like “reach 1500/1800/2000/2200/2400 mmr to unlock 372/392/418 gear”. And the open World PvP player dont have any kind of Systems and Content for this. Its easier just to scale up the item lvl.

At the End: every gear should be good in any Mode (maybe just in a other way)

Pvp gear does not scale in warmode. it only scales up in warmode specific areas. beside that the only thing that scales up outside of arena/bgs is the pvp trinket 2set bonus (Not the actual item lvl on any gear)

I think it scales when you enter any type of pvp with WM on… I’ve seen my hp and dmg jump when killing hordies anywhere in DF

If it only takes ‘2 hours’, just go and get a pvp set or don’t put WM on. This a truly weird take. As people have previously stated, you wouldn’t expect to go into a mythic with full pvp gear and pull the most dps etc. so why would this apply when reversed.

I don’t really understand how this works. I have a WPvP set from the bloody coins and my standard PvP one and just swap between them based on if I am doing instanced PvP or open world PvP.

PVP gear should scale in Wpvp, some people enjoy doing Wpvp and not Arenas. You earn better gear in Arena so you can climb higher you won't meet people who enjoy doing Bgs or Wpvp there, this way in WPVP everybody’s skill can matter.

If your whole enjoyment from PVP is directly tied to getting gear that`s your thing I guess, you should enjoy mastering your class regardless of getting better equipment and the new system seems to be enabling just that in the new Outdoors of Dragonflight.

I think people have forgotten the enjoyment of actually fighting each other and are just focus on being rewarded a new piece of gear.

What are you rewarded? equal geared fair PvP for everyone? :astonished:

Uummm, PvP better in War Mode? As far as I am aware, PvP gear wont scale up unless you enter PvP Combat. Thats why you upgrade PvP gear, to get higher ilvl for PvE, its not the greatest of course, so in order to be good at PvE you go for Raiding or M+ obviously.
PvP gear was never superior in OvE and it is still that way, you got now PvP trinket set that gives a lot of stats in PvP situations, but other than that its useless i PvE.

Renvy-“AgentDawn” do i need to go further ?

You choose to take the benefits with relevant risk of being disturbed or killed.
I dont see the problem here…

As people said, only trinkets scale in war mode. Atm m0 gear is much better in open world pvp than pvp gear because its 340ivl(pvp, unupgraded) vs 372 m0. Guy with m0 items will have an advantage.

For PvE and World content; Yes, for PvP: No
As World PvP gear scale up to 408 ilvl in PvP combat and Honort gear scales up to 410 ilvl in PvP combat, so that depends on the content you want to use it for really. I believe Conquest PvP gear will be scaling to 420+ in PvP and basic ilvl will be around 374 and to upgrade it further for PvE purposes.

They need to nerf pve gear if you have war mode toggled.

Are you really suggesting scripted dungeons are harder than arena?!
