TLDR: You can now use honor points to upgrade gear bought at the pvp vendor, which means that you can now effectively gear up through pvp.

This is a great system!
The only concern I have is that if your class values Versatility as its best stat in PvE, then PvP might become the best route to gear for PvE, especially with the catch-up, which would be unfortunate, but other than that it is friggin’ perfect.

THey can’t que rated, right. That is why I liked it, honor comes from only rated. Horde scum must not be in my team or I become toxic.

Yes it is awesome. But only if the time it takes to farm the needed honor is not too high.
Just as an example getting a chestpiece from the ilvl 158 base to the same 171 ilvl as the items that drop in a HC dungeon, requires 2000 honor: 875 to purchase the chestpiece and 500 + 625 honor to upgrade it twice.
And thats just for 1 item.
If that does take a reasonably short time, then the system is great; if it takes more then 1 - 2 hours to get 1000 honor then this system it worthless. This seeing as just doing repeateable HC or Mythic dungeons will then still be the better place to get gear from.
So it comes down to the amount of honor that will be rewarded; and so could be awesome, could be “meh” and could be really bad. And I truly hope it is the former, but knowing Blizzard and the way they handled gearing thru casual PvP, I am kinda sceptic, but also hopefull.
I don’t really understand the system. So, there are two currencies, conquest currency and honour currency? You buy the gear with conquest points and upgrade the gear with honour points?
So, hitting level 60, what do I do to gear up in pvp? I kinda need a plan I think…

at the beginning buy honor gear. Then buy conquest gear (rated currency) and update with honor but still U need rating to upgrade the gear

It just favor rated people, casual pvp guys will be left in the toilet without any good gear at all.

Yeh well, thats MMO PvP for you.
And it is not as if Mythic +15/ Mythic raid geared players do not have the same advantage.
Not that there are not solutions to that… points at templates.

Yea i’m only doing epic bgs and that’s what i like, i got full hc item lvl from that but i guess i be full blue gear in shadowlands
