Sick of losing PvP matches to ppl who no life the game. vs a 160k HP tank was sure fun o wait… PvP should be based on skill and tactics not who got the better gear.
Offer skins or titles I don’t care just make the stats normalised.
After seeing what Acti-Blizz done with SBMM in CoD I am strictly against it(in unranked ofc). Turned every single match into personalized tournament. There is just pure sweatfest and when it gives you easy match from time to time its rigged - whole your team has 3 k/d for example and every enemy 0.5 or less - it just picked few lambs for slaughter to prevent you from alt+f4+uninstall.
DF is fixing it however. 15k honor and you got max rank ilvl in BG and arena, same with conquest gear - buy unranked version and in BG or arena it scales to max rank. Ilvl upgrades only for PvE/world PvP.
As a person on the wrong end of SBMM, it would be perfect me here 
Yeah, at the start… by the end it will be the same unbalanced who plays more crap we have now.
my solution would be disable PvE gear, have 1 set of PVP gear and add skins and other things to add onto the armor, to show off your PvP skills.
Well, unless they cross us in later patches and start adding power related grinds DF should be fine.
For now it looks like you can really play BGs one weekend and boom, you are second best PvP gear. Then you play arena at any rating(and they are adding also ranked solo que) or just do unranked weekly and daily Q, you buy conquest gear, now you have the best PvP gear. Then you move on alt or continue pushing higher to make it better in PvE and world.
It should be the fastest and the most accesible PvP gearing we ever had (even compared to Legion, because your artifact power weapon unlocks still mattered).
(if honor cap, earning rate and gear cost stays ± the same as in SL ofc, they can still get us there)

If people don’t want to scale stats so that everyone can play decently and have an impact in a bg, why do they prevent twinks ( characters with xp turned off) from entering bgs ?
I know, It’s hard to ask Blizzard to make any sense.
They can enter BG’s but only with other twinks… it’s like CoD SBMM for the bots but allow team stacking vs randoms lol
in Dragonflight you will probably have what you wanted ( Honor and Conquest sets) But out of curiosity I will bookmark this thread to see what problems “casual” pvpers will have again. and if gear will help them with their crappy skills

I believe that not taking the smallest amount of time to learn and achieve a specific rating is laziness and lack of skill, yes.
With a little effort, even the dumbest monkey would reach 1800, a gear that allows you to compete with anyone. But whatever. I’m waiting to see what such people will write when DF comes (I’m betting their boomer reactions will again have a problem with the fast paced meta)

I hope pvp gear will scale to its itl in pvp combat when in war mode. If not I will not buy df and that will be over for me and blizzard. Devs let pvp gear work like in WOD please!

. I’m sure you will achieve a great rating in DF with welfare gear, I for one will not forget to look at your checkpvp profile I’m sure you can go higher than combatant this time

u sure it will be one honor cap for full gear? i assume that with honor gear being max ilvl from the get go the costs for it will be higher.
god forbid. people payin money for the game better give them max gear instant kekw.
Or spend real money on boost runs am I right lol… WoW has lost its gear prestige long ago

. But I think it cant be too expensive because it will still have upgrades for PvE and world, so if somebody wanted to upgrade it fully grind would be too savage for quite weak gear.
