Hi folks,
I’m trying to decide where should I play. What is the main value of PVP server instead of you can kill everyone on site or be killed by respawn cooldown?
Why do you prefer to play pvp server? (rogues pls don’t answer, it’s obvious why you like pvp)
To be honest its up to you and what sever.
I would personally tell you to stay away from PVP servers where the faction is imbalanced and you are on the minority side as you will struggle to level from 30-60 but its up to you honestly.
I personally like the challenge of random world PVP.
As for me, let’s get Firemaw pvp realm and Mirage Raceway PVE realm.
Firemaw:
- highest population (its fun);
- if you play alliance you would be ganked 1 vs ~2 (it’s not fun) ;
- it’s hard to get rank on BG because of tryhards (it’s not fun);
- it’s hard for solo farming because of gankings (it’s not fun) ; but if you play horde, it is ez to solo farming.
Mirage Raceway:
- high/normal population (its also fun);
- you can ez farming everywhere and not afraid of been ganked; (it’s fun)
- it’s ez to lvl up; (it’s fun)
- it’s easier to get rank; (it’s fun)
- you can’t gank but you can fight on BGs (neutral)
If I am right then, why do you play Pvp when PVE is better? What I missed?
Mirage Raceway is a very nice server unless you will come to a pvp server where you always have to fight for your survival.
I really miss that server but I had to play on another because of friends.
Some of us find the extra danger fun and it reinforces the conflict between alliance and horde. However overpopulation destroys this since it becomes too constant. If you choose a pvp server go for one that has a good balance and that isn’t overpopulated.
Some of my best vanilla memories are the multiguild pvp battles over the four emerald world bosses. If you are all about maximum efficiency , honor per hour, gold per hour, fastest leveling then I suggest just go pve.
Never go pvp server. One expects fun and excitement, one gets tedious lowie killing and ganking instead.
PvP servers are the most extreme in terms of highs and lows… Surviving skirmishes, going on revenge runs, and fighting factions for resources (or world bosses) can all add an extra element of danger to a world that becomes progressively less and less dangerous (from a PvE perspective) as time goes on. That being said, absolutely nobody likes being corpse camped on a boat/zepp if you’re just trying to do something menial, and griefers can make your life miserable as you level (even if you’re worth no honor).
PvE servers just add that extra layer of safety. You can still flag yourself for PvP if you’re brave enough, and most PvP will be done within the boundaries of battlegrounds anyway… It gives you the freedom to farm open world resources and quests without worrying about being jumped etc.
I can’t tell you which you’ll prefer, that’s down to you
